Now I know it's all down to personal taste but I much prefer the drums you've used here than your "standard" drum loops. These drums blend in with the music as a whole rather than kind of sitting seperate. That's to my ears anyway.
@@timothyclay3668 secret sauce? I used two lots of different types of drums. A “topper” and two different styles of “beat” (I think ones a “pop” one , and the other is a “EDM” but that’s the one that has a heavier kick). But yeah, they do sound okay in the mix. I think it’s the snare that has that “snappy” feedback that makes it work. 👍🙂

just spotted the animation on pixabay and thought it would "fit". i used a B&W filter and a "cartoon" filter to keep it monochrome. it originally changed colours and didnt look right. but the last few ive made have a "synthy" feel.
