Zuko definitely treated Katara better than Aang did. A LOT better. Besides, Zutara would have made a lot more sense than Kataang.

When I was little I used to ship Katara with Aang but one day I just saw it all again and I loved the chemestry between Katara and Zuko. It's impossible not to ship it. They should have been together in the end. It's a mistake what they made. But whatever, we can still ship it anyways.

They have to make an avatar series with the ideas of the others creators too. It's not fair . The guy that left the avatar team of the creators had amazing ideas but now that he left we have a lot of plot holes about the past of the characters and their relationships. I mean did you read the comic. They called each other sweetheart 😂 . It's cute but imagine zuko and Katara together. Than the sweet thing (aang and Katara in the comics)

Someday the truth will come out!! In reality they supposed to be together in the end. And the series would have another season (4) but the guy that wanted that was fired or left on his own i am not sure and the others didn't want zuko and Katara to be together. Also for the episodes with the past of the characters that guy wanted to do more and they were his ideas you know the past of some characters. But now we have a lot of plot holes. I mean we could know what happened with aang's parents and a lot of others things +Zuco 's and Katara's relationship but they didn't listen to him so now we have aang and Katara. I am a shiper. I wanted them to be together but now I understand that this was more logical. Especially because of ther ages. Aang was a little child compare with Katara. I still love him as a character but I prefer Zuko and Katara as a couple. It's more interesting the beginning of a love as a relationship that they don't like each other, because with aang and Katara was really obvious. But these hints for Zuko and Katara were better. You know I mean he saved her life. He loves her. Come on 😂 its a Huge hint of true love.

I feel like they really messed up with the Ships in ATLA, only Sokka and Suki are a real good outcome. Both Maiko and Kataang are just...wrong, and I dont know which one is worse. I feel like they should have gone another path, beginning with the episode the Guru in Book 2. Aang should have let go of Katara - you could see a huge difference between his behavior towards Katara in Book 1 and Book 3, he was that silly little Boy back in Book 1 who had a huge Crush on Katara and this was evident in almost every episode in some way. While in Book 3 it was barely ever visible, as far as I remember it was only visible in the Episode where Aang couldnt sleep, then the Invasion and the Threatre. And of course...the very last scene of the Show. But all in one, Aang really grew up, he wasnt that goofy Child from Book 1 anymore, and so the Crush on Katara didnt fit into his personally he has in Book 3 anymore. Coming to the conclusion that it would be the best if he had let go of Katara at the end of Book 2, leaving space for other, better opportunities and a better future for Katara in LOK. They could have find another way so that Aang got hit by the Lightning of Azula and therefore also another reason why Aang couldnt enter the Avatar State in Book 3, maybe because of his inner conflict with the Firelord, that he wants to spare him but everyone encourages him to kill him and that disturbs his inner balance too much or something like that. Oh and not to mention, Mai should have stayed in Prison... why do we get to see her anyways but not Ty-lee? Zuko completely forgot about Mai after the Boiling Rock. Kataras and Zukos Relationship was very well developed throughout the last half of Book 3, Zuko was able to understand Katara in points where Aang failed to understand her, see: Southern Raiders. Throughout the entire Show Katara was sad about her mother and mentioned her very often, with Zuko she got to learn that not everyone from the Firenation is a cruel brutal monster that kills everyone off. She learned that Zuko has feelings too, and that he experienced loss, just like she did. Hell, I even think they should have had a conversation about their alter egos, the Painted lady and the blue Spirit, come on, both dressed up as someone else to do good stuff. And hell² both, Katara and Zuko have a strong developed personality. I think, we all know about Zukos, but Katara is a very strong and deep Character as well. Just look at the way she challenged Paku at the Northpole, she wanted to achieve that goal to be trainend so hard, she didnt give up. And then the bloodbending and her Wrath we got to see in the Southern Raiders episode. Both have this angry side they cant really control. But letting Katara ending up as a simple Wife for Aang and nothing really more, is just really disappointing. Imagine if she and Zuko ended up together. She would have been the Firelady, hello? A Firelady who in fact is the only Waterbender of the Southern Watertribe, how cool would that have been? And therefore she wouldve been the mother of the next Firelord. Not only that, but their Relationship would have represented the incoming harmony between the nations, she and her family, and probably many many more from the Watertribe would have helped to rebuild the Firenation and sharing a connection together. Nations seperated by war and injured by war, but coming back together by the first step of forgiveness by those two. Oh and by the Way, Katara fits into the description Iroh gave the Firenation People back in Book 2. I quote, "The people of the Firenation have desire and will, and the energy and drive to achive what they want", and now lets think back on all those Katara Highlights weve seen in the show. Pretty much fitting, if you ask me.

Does anyone realize that Aang was the only one who wanted a relationship with Katara until the very last scene in the series? I mean, he kept throwing himself at her, and she never caught on, even though she probably knew he liked him. Even after they kissed, she was still like, nope. (: Then, Zuko and Katara had chemistry in the third season that Aang and Katara never had. They clicked right away. They were flirting with each other a whole lot.
