There's just something about that classic analog recording sound (or maybe players just had better guitar-tone back in the day??? -ha). Cool thrash stuff man...do you remember a band called Thirdstone from Champaign in the mid 90s??? (they played at the very first 'local' music show I ever went to back in early 1997 in Peoria at the old MadisonTheater downtown)...some of their songs were thrashy-grunge?? -Devon

Dude!! Domesticide and Altered Existence should've been playing shows together at that time!! I've been to The Canopy Club a few times over the years...saw Suffocation w/Morbid Angel and Satyricon there in 2005. I went to the 2009 Central Illinois Metal Fest to see Immolation also...and my girl and I saw Beats Antique there in 2018?? (Not metal...but features Zoe Jakes who is a world-renowned belly dancer!!)...great show!! -Devon

Once upon along time ago I used to host the only songs by the Readymen on youtube. For years it was just shortnin bread. Then one day the best of got uploaded to a server and my videos got flagged threatening my own bands videos so I had to removed them under copy right strikes. '96 for me as well. in a barn in sonora, ca. it was so cool. i was 18 years old. all these years later i still listen to these guys all the time. they were one of the few bands that played ska punk that i liked. this is easily one of my top 5 favorite cd's of all time. brings back ton's of memories.
