TACO TACO TACO Feat. Spring swapped Strawberry wine v2, because why not. I still standby my take that these switches are some of the most consistent prelubed switches out there in the market. guys is it a must to use a magnetic switch for this board? if yes, meaning its a HE keyboard? Im new to the kb community
Does it work on ps5
Truly endgame level
wish the stainless steel backplate came on the standard tomo too, so nice.
Yea it's a stunner. I guess they had to do this to differentiate standard and SE version + TGR Tax. Either way, prices for Tomo SEs are going low. In my local market, a b stock Tomo SE was sold for 222 USD.
Hello! I recently purchased a Lucky65v2 and ran into a problem: at first, using the keyboard was normal. But yesterday I accidentally switched the keyboard to the Fn+R dongle pairing mode and now the keyboard only works via Bluetooth. I have tried many solutions to the problem, but it has remained that way. What can I do in this situation? Thank you in advance for your reply!
fn + t wired fn + r 2.4g fn + q bluetooth (pairing long press)
@Altirix_ thats not working, bro
a 75 enjoyer i see, I dont get why so many people hate on the layout, its very functional and looks just fine imo. I guess that makes them cheaper for the rest of us currently running an XOX70, Tomo SE, Jane V2 ME, F1-8X V2, W1-AT, Moment and Ladybird, also I should be getting an Amano R2 from a friend soon enough. The Jane is probably my favorite atm but I honestly really like all of them
Thanks for watching and commenting! I believe it to be a mix of hive mind and because it's simply the popular opinion, just like how popular it was to hate on MX Browns years ago. It is indeed a very functional yet experimental layout - most of the time you'll find something interesting about a 75%. Very sweet collection there with a good mix of layouts and quality boards! Great that you are liking all of them. Which one of them is your favourite out of the bunch? Cheers!
@@Ray.F my favorite is probably the Jane due to its history, aesthetics and top/oring mounting style which is my preference.
i heard qc issues are common in this board, what do you think? it kind of makes me hesitant on getting the board. can you recommend another budget aluminum 65% keeb?
I followed this from a few people. It seems like specifically sellers on Aliexpress were selling prototypes and/or preproduction ones, I haven't heard of issues from other sellers.
That's alarming. I'll add your comment to my pinned comment. Thanks for the heads up. Perhaps for the time being, buy only from Weikav official store on either AliExpress or Taobao. If they are OOS then it's really up to you to take a gamble on other stores
Neo65 vs Lucky65 v2?
This sounds great! I'm looking at doing a similar conversion for my Mr Suit. I loved the board's aesthetics but could never get around the sound of the flexcut pcb... A few questions: 1. Where did you purchase the Firebro PCB (is there a solder version)? I did a search on Google and couldn't find anything outside of this video where it's mentioned 2. When looking at the Firebro PCB (flipped to see bottom of the PCB with the JST connector), does the PCB have the JST connector on the left or right side of the PCB? I'm finding a lot of PCBs have it on the left side, whereas the default suit's PCB has it on the right (which works with the DB cutout) 3. Did you make sure that the Firebro PCB met the Mr. Suit's DB standards (electrical compliances etc.), or did it just so happen to work? 4. Do you think it would work with most f13 jst tkl pcbs? I'm considering sub-ing in the ori tkl pcb since it's easily available to me.
Is there matching headphones?
very sugoi video
great curated list! Currently downsizing to about 8 or 9 boards but do want to drop down to 7 for 1 per day lol.
Thanks! After building over 50 boards in 3 years, I realised it's the boards that I deliberately consider for a long time that I kept. Most of the mech market impulse buys or the boards that were bought just to "try" aren't here anymore. That's great to hear that your downsizing your collection! Hope you'll get to do it, so you can spend more time on each board. Cheers
@@Ray.F agreed, started out with collecting things i thought looked cool, now a couple years in I only have kept things I am emotionally invested in lol
Pretty, pretty nice! I am always on the hunt for 60-65 percent keyboards.
Yea it's a stunning board to look at!
literally got same one, the luna rainy75, my fav board!
Glad you are enjoying it!
got these switches on my lucky65, they sound soo good imo, feel nice too
Very snappy sounding switch for sure, and it's dirt cheap!

👀👍! pretty nice! it sure does pop!
Sounds phenomenal through the mic haha, good work.
UPDATE: I missed out one crucial point - Lucky65 v2 has VIA compatibility. This makes it an even more compelling option for its price point!
My wrist joint is going to go out
everyday is wrist day
👀👍! i feel like there's more of these one and done boards now that really appeals more to the general public, definitely nice for the people that don't want to spend so much money and time on keyboards lol
Yeap. Especially since this is apparently VIA compatible, makes it an even more compelling option Vs the likes of keychron for a one and done keyboard for the everyday Joe. Hopefully this board gets popular enough to the point that firebro (火哥) will produce a non Flexcut 1.6mm PCB for it.
are laminate plate uses same mounting as alu plate (alu have grooves)
How did you take it apart I'm trying to mod it
It's tray mounted, look of screws in the plate to take out. You can remove all the keycaps for this since it's the first try.
@Ray.F i will need to send the keyboard to a repair shop because i broke the usb port
Goat stock sound
Ikr, I'm getting this keyboard in a couple of days so I'll let you know my first impressions
@TheRealBlooper Please do so
hey, i am having k630 brown switches. how to remove switches. its hard to remove. if i gave force to remove it breaks the plastic.Any solution?
The outemu-made switches on these K630 are extremely brittle, breaking a few top housings when plucking out from the tight hotswap socket is inevitable
I have the earlier version of this, the DK61E and that was hotswap optical with RGB and cost like double in 2020. What a downgrade! As far as 60% goes, I find the arrow key position acceptable, but I come from old unix days and navigate on the keyboard a lot, so the multi combo moves became borderline infuriating 😂 I switched to 65% as soon as I had a tiny bit more space on my desk. The Kemove held up though, used it for two years before throwing in the towel. For gaming it was quite good, rocking the WASD, but the sound was always meh because this was always intended to be my tacky RGB gaming board with shine through keycaps. I think they scrapped the hotswap because anyone who actually wants to customise will pick a better board nowadays. This seems to be aimed at 14 year old gamer boys whose parents refuse to buy them a Razer Huntsman mini. I'm honestly disappointed that they don't seem to sell the hot swap board anymore. It was pretty decent for a board with optical switches.
You made this into a gourmet taco
👀👍! do you have a favorite kind of taco? (like hard or soft shell, toppings, etc.)
Unfortunately I have not ate a real taco yet in Singapore 😅
Hey would you recommend AL68 or Lucky65 V2?
Lucky65 V2 at this point
Its so good and thocky when I use it with WS Morandi, but does anyone know on how to remove the blue backlight on the control button whenever it using wired connection?
That's probably the charging indicator (?) you can't turn it off.
Solid sound! Which 1.6 non flex pcb did you use?
Firebro RGBSuit R4 non Flexcut 1.6mm hotswap PCB! Just search on taobao for 火哥 PCB
Got one, the PCB was DOA and the seller was like "please wait" with nothing else, what a great deal. I am very disappointed..
i kinda like it, i might grab one soon. great review
Great video! Thanks!
Can you connect the keyboard to a PS4?
do a video on the new crush 80!
Nice vid mates
For the flex cut thinness, try use some non dry clay to cover up the cut holes from the PCB, then use plumber's tape to cover the clay'd holes at the top while using painter's tape at the bottom to completely cover up the pcb's underside.
For those who are thinking "foam bad", its not if its used sparingly. Case in point is on Keybored's Wind X65 video "YOU make your keyboard Clack or Thock"
Id say the v2 build quality dipped because of the loud case ping and that just makes the board stabs sound rattly
It seemed that's a fairly common issue with a number of more affordable ball catch keyboards out there, it has to really sit right when installing the top case properly. However in the case of the lucky65 V2, I think they did a pretty good job isolating out most the case ping away from the sound, although it could be improved Had this issue with the story80 once, installing the stock silicone factory forcebreak pads on the bottom case instead of the top case did help that.
@Ray.F yeah force break mods do really help but for my unit the ball catch really created a lot of case ping. But i fixed it with a lot of force break modding. And now works like a treat
Great video! I got one about 3 weeks ago. And ordered another one few days ago (compulsive buying fte, I blame you 11.11 sale). That's how much much I love this keyboard. The KTT Coconut Latte sounds and feels awesome for the price. As for my 2nd build, Akko Rosewood.
Yessir I think you'll be satisfied with this board!
How much during 11.11?
I wonder how would this compares to Yunzii AL68?
If you like quick disassembley and more customization options, go with the lucky65 v2, if you like knobs and don't want to build a keyboard get the al68
@ got it, thanks!
@mmmykkhy820 I got both, and I have to say the lucky65 is better in my opinion. It also comes in more colors than black and silver
The comments answered this better than I would have. Lucky65 V2 would be the better pick from a value-for-money perspective
do you think taping the pcb would help?
Most probably! But I think you'll lose the board's original sound characteristics as the tape mod will kind of override it.
@ yeah that’s a good point. I don’t understand why manufacturers keep making pcb full of flex cuts, it really kills the sound. I get that it helps produce the “creamy” sound that most beginners like, but you can still get that type of sound with a non-cut pcb, just put a ton of foam in and any board will be thocky and creamy
@anho0101 it's understandable that they would do what it takes to sell the most volume. Bearing in mind that the international market is miniscule compared to the Chinese market (which prefers foamy sounds signature), it starts to make more sense why they continue to do this. Also I've tested with non Flexcut PCBs and various pcb thickness with full foam; Seems that Flexcut PCBs and thinner 1.2mm PCBs work better with a fully foamed build; you hear more of the PCB instead with a 1.6mm PCB
Great video, and the plate foam only config sounds surprisingly good, even if expectedly thin. Curious to know if taping the flex cuts changes the sound much.
Yea, it could kind of hold its own weight even with just the plate foam installed, which is great given the number of flex cuts this PCB has. I'd guess that the tried and true tape mod would have helped out with that thinness, albeit inheriting that signature tapey sound
hifi mahjong sound
very mahjong very thocc
does the kit come with all the foams?
@@aoyeet yup it does!
Are the stabilizers rattly?
Yea they are unlubed so they are quite rattly, but they are tolerable imo for prebuilts
@@Ray.F Aww. I just received mine today, I hope its not that bad since I came from custom boards. I might try to inject some dialectric grease in the stabs. Thanks anyway!
@@Cr33pingdeath It's still a good board! At least the double shot PBTs are true 100% PBTs, i can attest to that. My family member dailies this exact leopold for work for the past few years - zero shine on the keycaps. The board is still a solid and reliable workhorse that won't disappoint
Did you lube the Leobogs or just left them as stock?
I left them stock! Only "mod" done to it was spring swapping them for TX 18mm 62g
