Today the Fenelon Falls Legion 238 carried the torch for WW1 veterans. A parade and beautiful service with the Last Post was held at the cenotaph. One could not help but be moved by the reading of each name of the 57 very young men who gave their lives for our freedom. The Legion also presented an amazing display of photos and WW1 newspapers bringing alive the political and actual events as they happened from the Shot heard round the World to each of the Battles fought so bravely in France. Visit the Garden of Remembrance to see the white crosses and read the names and ages of each man and picture his youthful face and future he not live to see. Thankyou to the Legion for a wonderful remembrance and wake-up call for those of us who must continue to carry the torch for our freedom.
