He is so good. Would love to know how old that guitar is and how long he has owned it for - looks like it's seen some things, man.
+Timothy Collins Glen was not a good student, but I knew I wanted to pursue music and be remembered for his compositions and musical performances . At age 13 , a teacher gave him a guitar, and proposed the challenge to leave Dublin to try , with the condition not to return in a year. If during this period managed to survive , no one would question his commitment to music . He did not think twice and followed his dream , and today, almost 30 years later , remains committed to what he loves. And still he is carrying that old and broken guitar accompanying him during his days as a street musician . Glen said in one of his concerts in Japan , the representative of Takamine guitars, the model guitar that will not peel , wanted to give a new , but he would not accept it because that guitar represents where and how did the music. The wear is typical of the high demand by tapping sound on the streets
The guitar is from around 1991 and he's owned it since new. It was his busking companion hence the extreme wear.

This isn't the guitar that his headmaster gave him though. He bought this Takamine using the money from acting in the film "The Commitments" in 1991 because it was a by far superior guitar to the one his headmaster gave him. Not only due to actual wood construction being better but also because you could plug it in and subsequently do gigs with it.
