.......this is the lens that will separate your portrait work from the rest.....the compression and bokeh and sharpness, are just incredible.....A 70-200 is great but there's just something about this Sigma prime that is special. If you own a Sony (Certain models) don't forget to use Clear Image Zoom (not crop mode) with no loss of pixels/quality and dial in the 105 up to a 210...

I don't tell any one about the Sigma 105 because it's my bread and butter. People think i'm a good photographer but it's actually the lens that sells my work with a hint of my personality when i'm working with the model. That lens is a miracle I've been considering buying another one just to keep but worried it may get fungus at some point. And I totally agree with you I can see myself using this lens for a decade or more until a lighter version of it comes out at least.

I own this lens too and yes, it is big and super heavy, but after I go home and get out the photos or video it's worth it 100%

You dont get paid to travel to work in a normal profession, same applies, obviously if the model doesnt want to do it, they can say no
