@@brandom198823 the chassi was actually a hoboa vs2 kit that was givin to me to get me in a buggy since I already ran nitro truck the vs2 led me to buy an mbx8r that I now run for nitro buggy and still run the tekno nt482.0 for truck

How was the hobao?

@@BeauchMane it was alright it was given to me so I wouldn’t complain it drive pretty well but I do like the mbx8r more

@@dylansowder6617 👍 and comparing the mugen to the tekno? How is the durability, outdrives wear, inserts, rod ends?

@@BeauchMane the mugen is just as strong I think the bearings and overall quality is a little better than the tekno but I have nothing bad to say about my tekno either

Funny enough I’m positive there was a flame out right at the end of this clip very frustrating Engine it was so fast and seemed so good but would always flame out after re fueling I stick to os based engines now and very rarely have tuning issues highly suggest anything os based over a nova even the new ones people are finding tons of metal shavings in

​@@dylansowder6617 Thanks bro I was looking into one of them for my brother I will tell him to steer clear lol, I have an o.s just a cheap one but I'm happy with it I got a reds 721 but he's not keen to spend that sort of cash

@@hismaximus904 there is a few options under 400 protek cr21 or the new os with the blue head I forget the model but it’s under 300 and they rip I’ve seen a few decent videos on here

It’s a good little club racer only thing I don’t like is the crank is not dlc so sometimes the collet can be a pain

I haven’t ran the 5r or truggy engine id say the 3 port has a little better low and the 5 port has more top The truggy engine probably has really good low and mid with decent high The 3 probably also has the best fuel mileage I raced a 5r when I had the 3r and it didn’t seem any faster than mine

@@tdr5944 I would try to get one of the ones with the newer style cooling head the first gen is what I had and although mine was good I heard a few negative stories I haven’t heard anything lately so I’m thinking they got production figured out

I think there was a bad batch but besides that they scream I’ve got rid of mine though and now all my engines are os or os based it’s made it much easier to find consistent tunes

@@dylansowder6617 thanks for the response. Since it is a new Company, it is possible that the First Engines have some Minor issues indeed. Sad That you had troubles with yours. Perhaps it will be better in a few generations … OS based Engines are really expensive where I’m living, so i was interested in those.

@@remigoldbach9608 I traded mine for a protek cr21 it’s been great the cr21 is very good it just doesn’t have ceramic bearings or dlc crank so it’s a little more affordable The tekno blok engine is another great choice under 500$

@@TastyBRC thanks tasty I’ve only ran one race on it so far but had the wrong pipe set up and wasn’t satisfied I have switched to the 2090 with 75mm header and it’s much better Where will we be able to order your fuel

That was the nova pipe and I think 55mm header

This is the nitro version with nova b3r engine stock spur 13t clutch bell and protek 2s lipo receiver pack basically set up as the manual calls for it’s a great setup from factory

It’s a great little engine in this clip the hsn was a little lean you hear it kinda chatter at the end of the video can’t seem to get that mid range dialed in just right yet but definitely learning more about this engine everytime it runs
