Brands Hatch Indy - Recycled Racing - CSCC Tin Tops - RR1
Probably not one to remember this race.
A reasonably start then cut short by a safety car, restarting the race and having a few good laps, to then suffer 'Distributor error' and the ecu cutting power, to the retire with a power steering failure.

Angry Pig ventures out onto the Silverstone GP circuit for the first time. With new fuelling and handling upgrades over winter, this is the cars first outing of the year and one of two planned visits to Silverstone in 2024, the second being an entry into the Birkett relay with fellow Tin Toppers in October.

First race out for the 2023 season. For 2023 the civic has been stroked out to 1800cc, whilst not quite as spicy as the 1600 set up, it drove nicely. The Nankangs AR1's whilst great bang for buck, was pretty terrible in the wet! But was happy to bring it home (just) for a 6th overall and a P2 in class. We almost had that P1, but the better driven car won on the day.

We take Angry Pig to race with a different grid of cars, the slippy, drying circuit give the Pig an early advantage, with a V8 Triumph getting ever closer in its rear mirrors, it was a nail biting race.

We dragged the civic halfway across the country to tackle the Angelsey International Circuit in a triple header race weekend. A person best 2nd overall, 1st in class. Special thanks to SummitTechnologies for letting us use the Prototype Talon Endurance Series control panels, great in the day, amazing at night.

Really enjoyed that! Incredible noise 😯 great battle. You learn so much from onboards. You were mighty through gooseneck, I haven’t quite got it there yet. I knew I had to clear that puma into turn one once I was past but remember thinking I could slam into his door if I understeer. Worked out ok 👌🏽 catch you next year.

James Wilson #234 we use a cheap FM radio to literally record the live radio and record it to an SD card. Then just overlay it in the video. :).

James Wilson #234 brown pants moment !!! But yes she’s dead sadly. If you add enough water then you just fill up cylinder number 2 and it comes out the exhaust.
