I got a question!! I want to start in a city about 45 minutes away from me! I just turned 17!! But I’m still in school so I wanna start on vacation!! Should I start at a venue and reach out for a few? Or should I contact an artist that goes on tour in my country? (Germany) Like it a dream, when I’m done with school in a year to continue working as that! And then maybe do my own thing!! Maybe planing tours and stuff!! Thank you!!

i used to host bands at my parents house too 🤣 but i wish someone had told me sooner i could WORK in the music industry. i guess i never realized. Now i’m hoping to make that career change. this is great info !!

what if i live in a smaller town/a town with barely any venues? the only venue i have in mind is a bar and i’m 15

This is so inspiring! ❤️Do you think volunteering at concert venues would help as well? I've recently graduated and been looking for concert venue jobs but they're hard to get, so I took a regular marketing job for something completely unrelated but just to earn money while searching for potential music industry jobs. My local concert venue however is looking for volunteer backstage managers. We're currently in lockdown so I haven't contacted them yet. But do you think something like that could be helpful? I personally thought it would be a great thing for networking with artists and artist crew.

I also completed my 4 years of college & almost wish I didn't even go because of all of my debt & the fact that everything I've done thus far in the industry had nothing to do with my school or degree.
