But if this song is about Hama talking to Katara the "ungrateful princess" wouldn't be wrong considering that in the southern water tribe the chief's daughter isn't called "princess" (that's from the north, like with Yue or Eska and Desna), and i'm pretty sure the raids with the waterbenders were during Azulon's reign, so "by Ozai's behest" would be wrong, but it's still a good song
I don't think princess is meant literally. I think it's more in the spirit of when Toph called Katara "Sugar Queen." Because Katara is holding on to some standards of decency and morals which Hama feels have no place in war. Hama may have been taken under Azulon but Ozai is the enemy in the here and now and he has continued his father's atrocities.
