Interesting perspective! I was thinking the environment might play a factor in whether it is OK for sulcatas to burrow, but it makes sense to consider the size/age of the tortoise and therefore the extent in which they can burrow too.

I know nothing about turtles and tortoises so this will probably be a stupid question to everyone who DOES know their stuff, but does a female lay her entire clutch of eggs at once or do they lay one a day for however many days?

I'm so sorry for your loss. That's really sad. She did look like she was coming around. You did everything you could for her, so I hope you take some solace in that. (I realize this was a year ago, but still.)

It's great to have people in the same hobby/industry as you that you can glean info from. It sucks to have a pet in pain. It's so hard to watch them when you know they are suffering. Its hard to believe in only 3 months it will be a year already since Brian passed. Its definitely a different world without him in it. Lori his wife is working so hard trying to fulfill his legacy on the aquarium. Sadly his son walked away b4 Brians vision was brought to life. The crew has really pulled together for Lori though and their dedication has really come shining through. I am so excited to see the progress really moving along now. The 3rd Animal Con is this weekend and I am in awe how everyone is pulling together still in remembrance of Brian 😊
