My brother bought a park home,He had to buy a new roof for it,the site looked great at first;as it's in a lovely wooded area with swimming pool behind the pub and restaurant, a post office ,a shop, and a doctors surgery. But ! now all that has gone ,apart from the pub restaurant ,I don't believe they lowered the ground rent though. He isn't allowed to plant a shrub without permission, also he wanted to put a car stand on the garden that he would pay for ,but they said they would put ground rent up and must be how they want,not him. He has totally lost interest in the place now,and never uses the garden. It's like an open prison. Southeast Sussex. This is not for holidays,this is a private park home.

Seems to be as unregulated and treacherous as the leasehold scenario. I've been caught in a leasehold and it is my biggest lifetime regret.

I'm looking into it but to quite honest it all gives me the heeby jeebys with all the horror stories. The problem is the park owners. The sooner some kind of regulations are passed in parliament, it will still be like the Wild West. Cowboys and all that pertains.

I alway take my spy camera with me on holiday ao when I'm out my spy bear records everything an send me a motion video to my phone so if any staff or anyone else steal or open my safe I have it recorded

Holiday homes are nothing more than a lifestyle accessory. And a heavily depreciating asset. If that suits your needs, then happy days. But there's also a lot of silly people who haven't done their due diligence, and are quite happy to spend 50, 60, 80 to £150k+ on tin shacks... Madness!

Great vlog Daz. I can honestly say i’ve never bothered watching any of those ‘how to’ videos, although UA-cam seems to push them like mad. I’ve just listened to other vloggers i’ve met & tried different things. Although my channel is never gonna be massive, its done way better than i ever thought. I agree with you - my channel is my memories - a diary of what i do at a particularly unique point in my life. My bio & ethos has never changed since day 1. Where it will go - who knows? I'm so glad you found out who your Dad was Daz, uncle Alf eh. It may seem a bit weird considering you knew him and spent a lot of your childhood with him. Anything in life is difficult to approach, I get it, but you'd think your dad or mum would have sat you down to explain. Other members of family knowing doesn't help, but it's not there place to say but welcome you when it eventually came out. You took the initiative to find out, and you got your result. I truly hope you'll be so happy together, and in time share stories and build on lost time. I'm happy for you as you've got closure.
