6. Atrioventricular Re-entrant Tachycardia

This arrhythmia is not AV node dependent. Retrograde P waves after the QRS complex can help us differentiate this from an AVNRT and that is the most important take home message from this video. The RP interval will be greater than 70msec in this rhythm. Join the Medic Level Up Community via Facebook: Mediclevelup Instagram: mediclevelup Or be my friend on Twitter: tw...

Supraventricular tachycardias are the most fun to treat in my opinion. Prompt recognition can lead to rapid reversal to sinus rhythm. The look on the patient's face is priceless when their heart feels normal again. Let us look at the ECG findings and understand the mechanism of how AVNRTs are generated. Paramedics think about PEs every shift. Its been made out as the big bad wolf of medicine. But i survived 3 in one lung. Had to suction my own airway when I coughed them up also. Staff refused to come in my room because I had covid and coughed... guess tycex suits and double N95 mask and face shields weren't enough. They literally stood at the door watching me suffocate and turn purple. Watched me stand up and connect a suction set, nasally insert it into my trachea and suction myself 3 different times because they didn't all come up at once. Second CT showed I'd removed them myself and they sent me home that night. I stopped working in EMS, and left medical school that i was 4 years into from pure outrage at the lack of care given.

Great overall approach. Just one thing, in the first slide unstable angina is classified separately, not part of ACS. I thought ought U.A was also classed as ACS. Great vid nonetheless 👍👍👍

Very informative video.. I would like to add something on technical side of this video Echo in your video is a bit of discomforting, Use some sort of acoustic sound dampening techniques in your studio or some post recording modifications of sound. Rest of lighting etc are okay..👍🏼
