That was fun to watch. Forget the break. The fact that he was able to surface something that size on a probably underpowered rod speaks alot for the rod.

It is a 2 piece rod but if that is a concern it's nothing a small piece of electrical tape can't fix. Also, that way you can travel with it more compactly if need be. The 7' medium action is perfect for what I fish for. I fish mainly bass and some pan fish and this rod does great with bigger fish yet also still allowing you to feel the fight of a smaller fish.*

I know in the usa fuel is about half what its in Europe UK but i still find it hard why Americans prefer petrol outboards to diesels as they are so much cheaper to run n modern diesels are pretty powerful n quite now days but about almost 50% cheaper to run

Looks to me like it was bending pretty good! I believe my buddy took it back to the tackle shop where he bought it and they exchanged it for a new one. But like anything in this world there are fakes out there, including Ugly Sticks!

The uglystik bend through out the whole rod. As you can see below the first guide it was barely bending. Either that's not an uglystik or some how defective.

When I was a kid growing up in Charlotte in the 70s...we had 2-3 snow storms like this every year

We lived in Charlotte about 30 years ago and in the backyard of the place we were renting I found a nice little Diamond ring from Tiffany's. Of course the name was stamped in so when I sold it I got more from it because it carried the name. And that was with what was a little cheap $30 detector, don't even remember the brand. There's a lot to be found in Charlotte because there's been a lot of big money living there since it began.

Where were you detecting in Charlotte, what park? I have been reading the rules and regulations for park and rec and they say nothing about detecting isn't allowed, only rule is no digging. I am confused by the rules and what people tell me.
