Переглядів 1464 місяці тому
We rode the Moki Dugway on our way to Saint George. This was my 2nd time riding this road. This time we rode up. I think I prefer coming down the hill better. The road had a couple of washed out areas from recent heavy rains and flood waters coming down. #mokidugway #harleydavidson #utah

Private Instruction with The BOSS, Robert Simmons. My 2024 Roadglide with TAB Slip-ons
HiTim, my wife and I were out that way riding lots of the same roads this past July. We left out of the Tampa, FL area and took the long way through New Mexico into Colorado so I could take my wife on the Durango train. Then headed north into Wyoming, Montana before heading east into South Dakota. Love riding out there for sure. Thanks for sharing y’all’s trip. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy and Blessed New Year.
Did you do the spotwalla requirement the iron butt mentions for instate rides? I am confused of this requirement for instate rides but not any other iron butt ride. Thanks
Yes I used Spotwalla to submit. Although not a requirement, but necessary for online submissions. You can use Spotwalla data to submit any IBA ride online. The instructions are in their website. This also helps get the ride certified quicker than mailing in a submission. Thanks for watching and commenting.
seems like yesterday i was there....just beautiful!
That San Juan Skyway is so underrated!!!
I rode the Million Dollar Highway a few yrs ago and just loved it. Great views all the way.
Great video I’ve been out there amazingly beautiful creation of Gods art work.
It’s really cool to see the day you guys had knowing you’d pull into the same hotel we were at having taken a totally different route to the hotel.
You need to do the train ride from Durango to Silverton sometime. Loved the million dollar hwy. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Did the train ride back in 2018. It's was great.
Awesome video, keep riding and keep your head on a swivel.💪🏿🙏🏿
Thanks for the video 👌
I was there! With you lol.
Cortez is a fun and interesting town that is often looked down upon.
We would love To get back out west! Utah is on our list. Thanks for sharing! Looks like you all had a great adventure! 🏍️
Utah has some of the most scenic rides and spectacular places to visit. I've definately been blessed to journey here a few times.
Great video Tim!!!! Brings back some great memories!!!
Monument valley is a cool place. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
I think you meant to say Ira. Ira Hayes. He was one the Marines that raised the flag on Iwo Jima. Johnny Cash did a song about him also. Big John Wayne fan here. I was there years and years ago. For some reason I didn't go into the trading post. Maybe it was closed but I do remember the building. Watching this video makes me want to go back. I wish there were ten more videos in this series.
That's right. Ira Hayes.
Tim also waiting on your personal review of that new Road Glide
Thank you for showing us part of this great nation and what God has blessed us with.
😎👍🇺🇸
That’s never good 😞
😎👍👍
Awesome video!
Amen Bro! It is so important to get out there. I know we need to take care of our responsibilities but what are we teaching the next generation if all we do is say "one day I'm gonna do this" or "one day I'm gonna do that". We teach them that our jobs or money or any number of things are more important than our own dreams or our own dreams for our families. So many times we work so hard in the name of responsibilities or building a life that we forget to live life. I want to be remembered by my friends and family as a man of God that not only worked hard to provide but took chances to live life trying to make a difference in everyone that I met. Be blessed Bro! Great video! Keep them coming!
I really need to visit more national parks next year. Looks amazing. Get your knee better for Tall's RTTHs next yr. A big thumbs up to Scott for inspiring you to do youtube videos.
awesome brother.
hey Mr Bell
Would love to see Zion National Park. Hope you are doing well with your knee recovery.
Zion is awesome. Makes you realize just how small you are, and that we serve an awesome God. Recovery is going well.
Wow, what a great ride, pics, and video.
Great video, Tim. It was to see ya and hope to see you in Ashville. Good luck with the surgery.
Was a great SW. Hope the healing is going good Tim.
Thanks Tony. Hope to see you in Asheville.
Knee surgery? Hope ya have a speedy recovery brother. Good to see another video from you.
Congratulations on the new 24 road glide, see you down the road.
Are you doing any of the Toy runs this year in Gaston or Cleveland county?
unfortunately no. I'm having total knee replacement surgery on Monday. So no riding for a while.
@PoppaDRides I hope you have a speedy recovery. I'm local to you and was going to invite you to a couple more in the area if you were able.
God and great people make great times! Epic travels going on in this here camp. Nice job.
Good morning Tim. Good videos. I’m just starting my UA-cam journey. I just posted my first two videos of my trip to Key West (check it out). One question. How do you get audio from your helmet to the GoPro. Thanks Keith
Hey K-Dub. Best of luck on your youtube journey. I use the mediamod, and attach a gaming microphone. The mic is mounted inside my helmet near my mouth. I got the mic from Amazon, 2 for $15. They are noise cancelling. It took me about a year to figure out how to get clear audio while riding. I'm doing more voiceovers in this series of videos. Had a wire break on my setup, which meant no audio from the gopro. Most of my footage from this series is from my 360 camera.
@@PoppaDRides Thanks for the quick reply. Have safe travels and maybe we’ll run into each other on the road.
Gosh that's beautiful. Would love to go there. In Wood JR's last video he said he's going to Sturgis next yr. He put out the word that whoever wants to go can join him on the ride. Are you going? I am tentatively planning to go. I just got a new (to me) bike last Friday. A 2021 street glide special. My old bike got totaled out by my insurance company after hitting a deer two months ago.
Not sure about next year, will have to see.
I dream of going out there... one day, Lord willing.
10.22.24 just checking on you. I hope all is well.
Thanks for checking in on me. I'm good, just lots going on personally. Back to editing videos from our ride out west. Haven't had much time to ride since. Haven't ridden in 2 months, so i do have a case of PMS(Parked Moyorcycle Syndrome).
@@PoppaDRides Good to hear. God bless 🙏
Just found this video. Ride Planner is a good starting point. It’s not perfect by any means. I usually build my route in Ride Planner, then load that GPX file into Google Maps. That way I can get the construction updates and whatnot. Ride Planner on my GTS radio has maps that were last updated in 2016. I’m not spending the $250 for the update, which is still not current by the way. I try to avoid unsaved roads, and the maps are not up to date. It also no longer offers the other Route Options it used to on the Boom GT 6.5 radios. You used to be able to set scenic and twisty routes in the Ride Planner.
Rode this in 2010. It's definitely an experience in itself. Would do it again!
Moki!! I know another Moki 26 years
Road looks sketchy but worth the ride
Absolutely beautiful
I had the opportunity to ride down it in June. It was very wet and windy from the monsoons passing through the valley.
That washed out part of trip road in a couple of places. I saw a video of the flooding covering 163 in about 5 feet of water between Mexican Hat and Bluff.
Utah has some beautiful roads and scenery 😎👍
I stay away from gravel roads on my Harley. One rock between the drive belt and sprocket can cost you a $1,000 😬👍
Oh yeah
I have rode my share of gravel roads. This doesn't look too bad. I would ride it. The scenery looks incredible. You find the best roads. You need to lead a group on some of these awesome routes.
👍
First. No I would not ride it. You are braver than I.
