This is a partial recording of a live rehearsal performance of (what was a new song) "Ashes & Fire" from a benefit hosted by Judd Apatow for 826LA in October of 2010. It's nothing special but may be interesting for Ryan fans to hear him try out a song that would become the title of his upcoming album.

I've heard this song with with Jenny Lewis, Emmy Lou Harris and Mandy Moore, and the best is by far Jenny Lewis. Sorry Mandy, this was good but not as good

Yeah before Ryan Adams she was engaged to Zac Braff but it ended in 2007 and she met Adams in 2008 and they broke up and then all of a sudden in February 2009 she married Adams.

@noellennon actually, i have seen him live, and i have even recorded this same song: watch?v=z6NtlAHD5rk . you're right, one pretty much can't take one's eyes off of him, but again, she is married to him and is singing with him. what i meant is that it is amazing to see how astonished she is with him even though she lives with him every day.

She looks at him to read him. That way she knows when to come in. Emmylou Harris has done the same thing all her life. I think MM will be good with Ryan, and they should do an album together.
Thanks for posting this...Ryan is just an amazing talent...the Mandy Moore thing is hard to get used to except he doesn't look quite as tortured...With her at his side another chapter on the road...I still to this day turn people on in NELA that don't know Ryan at all....

Cannot thank you enough for posting this. Stunning... WOW. This is this the way music is meant to be - simple & honest. No overdubs, no overthinking - just raw emotion. You can just feel the love between husband and wife. And I don't think I've ever heard Ryan's voice sound more beautiful. Just wow!
I worked with Ryan Adams in the past doing his tour marketing. Awesome guy. I also always loved Mandy Moore (we are both 26 so I was around for her pop break). I love this. They should totally do an album together. Glad their marriage is doing well.
