Small Homemade Loam Dirt Screener for divot repair on tees and fairways
Slick rig! Now if only we could teach golfers to fill in their own divots, you'd have it made! ;-)
Good stuff
Excellent...! Thanks...! Gordon
Question for ya, what did you use for the belt material? I want to build a similar project.
Just search ebay for cheapest 12” conveyor belt. I replaced the original belt in the video with similar to this “Black Ribbed 12"Wide 41Ft Long 0.125" Thick Conveyor Belt”. Belt in this video was made of rubber and kept stretching. Believe it or not, I used superglue to connect the ends instead of Clipper Lacing.
Hi again, just about to build my own screener .could you tell me what your pulley sizes are as it looks quite good.cheers.
Hi, very impressive, we are looking for a machine like this, we are based in Dublin, could you manufacture one for us? Regards Ronnie
Hi Ronnie,Thanks for a nice comment. I do not manufacture these for sale. There is no market for them. This project was after-work something to do thing. I’m proud to say the screener still working after screening around 70 + yards of dirt. If you can find a mechanically inclined welder-man, and supply him with materials for the screener, you can build this thing for less than $2000.
Really impressive - thanks for your clip
very nice, what size motor did you use an what speed is the belt running at.
Thank you James. Motor is 6.5 hp from harbor freight tools. Screen speed is about 600 rpm and conveyor - about 250 rpm.
Woods Westminster EDIT: Engine 3820RPM, screen 829RPM, conveyor 275RPM
