I think Richard had a really different but also lovely way of singing. Sure it wasn’t a perfect voice, but it conveyed emotion and also had a lot of power behind it. I remember seeing this video talking about MacArthur Park where one of the people said he couldn’t sing and I found that very wrong. Richard could indeed sing, but he’s doing it in a way that works for him. Sure, it’s not perfect, but it’s still a lovely and thought provoking voice that stands out.

I watched The Field, became a Harris fan. I thought I'd see what he was like and watched the Parkinson appearance. The interview was great, the poetry was fine, and then he sang this song. Outstanding!

Here I am again 80 saw him in 1972 and every evening listen to his music and his chuckles at interviews we lived in those days he used to wear navy and white stripped shirts with white collars and cuffs luv him to bits

His voice. His amazing voice. Dusky. Poignant. Warm. Poetic. So utterly perfect for "If I Can Go Back" which he sings with such yearning. It's the actor in him, as he admits.

My all time favorite singer, performer, actor in the world Richard Harris. Started listening to him when my mother played his album McArthur Park at 10 years old and to this day I listen to him in my car (2022). Paired with one of the best songwriter musicians in the world Burt Bacharach, you just can't get any better. Harris was able to put more feeling into his songs as an actor than even some of the best performers. What beautiful memories. Two incredibly talented individuals. They don't make them like this anymore. Thanks for the beautiful memories and joy....
