Sir,I just want know..IS barrier required for an external 24 vdc supply? It means IS instruments are not loop powered instruments is it?
Intrinsically Safe (IS) instruments can be either loop-powered or externally powered, depending on their design and application. Loop-powered IS instruments are often referred to as two-wire devices. They draw their power directly from the 4-20 mA current loop, which simplifies wiring and reduces the need for additional power supplies. Externally powered IS instruments, on the other hand, require a separate power source and are typically three or four-wire devices. These instruments cannot be loop-powered because they need more power than what the loop can provide.

What is the DD and CFF Revision in FF.why do we need to verify.
A Device Description (DD) in Foundation Fieldbus provides a detailed description of a device’s functions and how to access them. It’s used by host systems to interpret device data and control device operations. CFF (Capability File Format) is an ASCII file that describes the functions and capabilities of a field device. It works in conjunction with the DD (Device Description) file to enable a host system to configure the system offline

Good question.. As you know, upstream and downstream availability plays an important role.. few flow meters such vortex, magflow ( only for conductivity applications), coriolis can handle bends and u-turn
