I use four congas, with a quinto as the primary drum. For that I’m using a CAD C98 condenser, because it’s so small it does not get in the way of reaching the other drums. It sounds great. For the other congas I’m using a couple different mics, on stands so they don’t pick up unwanted sounds (such as accidentally hitting the shell with something).

Thanks. The mounts come with the mics. Each mic is sold separately and comes with one mount. The brand and model are Shure PGA56-XLR mics. The XLR means this version comes with an XLR cable. you can purchase them without the cable also.

Your slap tone technique is incorrect. You are not making the tone correctly. This makes you look and sound like an amuteur and you are putting undo stress on your finger tips. Stop everything and learn a proper slap.
