Here's a dirty little secret: The GYTR style adapter is the best bang for your buck. 45 is about the most real-world HP you'll get on a stock motor. IMHO those boxed intakes aren't worth the $$$ for the meager gains you get with a stock engine. No matter what the internet salesmen say, $350+ is insane for barely 2 hp. You won't see real gains with one of these until you get into cams and head porting. In fact, he mentions it at 23:22.

Yamaha knows about this problem and yet they haven't done anything about it? It would be easy enough to go back to the 09 basket, but they don't. I got a new YFZ recently and it is outrageous that I should have to spend another 400 bucks just to have peace of mind.

If u have a pc5 and do the AIS delete will u still have a check engine light?

I have a yfz450 r 2022 . The DASA racing offers full package; exhaust system, intake and power commander 6. You think it will work great or the vortex is better than power commander6?

Awesome to see the in depth answers to each dyno pass and showing the HP/TQ difference between the intakes, definitely a close race between some of them! Would be interesting to see the different kinds of head work (porting, cams, and valves) does to the power and torque. Keep killin it! 🤘🏽

Any test that doesn't include tuning to a specific AF ratio is a waste if time.

this is great factual content men. obviously its better with a tuned vortex. but, would you say you we can start with a RP full system, and upgrade to a vortex in the future? (just starting in the sport) or you would say, RP system without vortex makes no sense? thanks

Tip of the day !! If the timing plugs strip out, remove the stator cover and pull everything off of it. With just the cover, drill a hole in the center of the plug, put a bolt and nut through it and tighten. Being that the bolt is in the center if you tighten it, it should be reversed of the threads on the plug and should spin right out . Then remove the nut and bolt for future use and reassemble with new plugs. Be sure to remove all metal shavings !

If you want the smell go turbo blue, I mix 50/50 with 91!!!!
