2-Hour Draw or Study with me - comic page drawing process (no music only talking)
Hello there and welcome to this longer draw with me or study with me kind of video. I encourage you to put this on in the background for some background listening or viewing, I do talk quite a lot but it is mostly quite soft spoken, I think I've been influenced by my love for ASMR as I decided not to add music so this could just be quieter, you could always put your own music on as well.
I added the subtitles later in UA-cam this time but they are accurate so just click the 'cc' button if you want/need them. My old laptop was struggling a lot with this longer video but it did manage it in the end, but it does mean imperfections were largely kept in as the editing process was already very very slow. *Apologies the picture edit only starts like one second into the video I don't know why it did that * I feel like I'm struggling with correct lighting as well, is this too dark? It was obviously dark in real life but more towards the end.
I hope you might enjoy this and if it's something you'd like to see again do let me know, (although I might not manage anything longer than this on my current laptop) I'm trying lots of different kinds of videos, your feedback is always so appreciated!
As I said in the video my comic 'Toast in the Machine' is now on webtoon! (I don't know why I kept pronouncing it 'Webtune' lol)

Hello and welcome to this art process video of a pencil and digital drawing, I talk through my process and my ideas, my love of the humble pencil as well as showing my drawing, why not draw along with me! A bit of a shorter video this time but I have a lot of ideas and would like to talk more about the artist life soon. I hope to keep improving with each video so comments, suggestions, question...

Hello there! It's been a while but I'm back with hopefully a better set up for you. I'm aware I spoke about splitting a long video into two and this is still 16 minutes long, I am such a rambler I am struggling to reel it in, but I'll keep trying! *I apologise I think the pictures of my comic look a bit dark because of a filter I accidentally put over them and also I coloured them in CMYK which...
Making a comic about loneliness & why we should talk about it more

Hello there! Welcome back to the tiny art room, I'm still trying lots of things out so this video is about a shorter comic but I talk a bit more about the meaning behind it, I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think! I've been trying to get the lighting right for my videos but I'm still often filming too dark and can only do so much in editing, I'm working on it! I hope to keep improving ...

Hello there! I apologise if this video is a bit hard to follow at times, it shows about two weeks of work so it was a little tricky to reduce it d...

Hello there and welcome back to the tiny art room I apologise it's taken me so long to post a new video. I also need to really get some decent art process shots worked out, but it's all a learning curve! I hope to keep improving with each video so comments, suggestions, questions, advice are all welcome, thankyou! I'm planning on maybe some videos talking about specific topics, anything you'd l...
A week in the life of a tired artist - 05.02.24 - Iceland Zine in Progress

Hello there, thankyou for your support on my first video, this second one is more of a vlog format so let me know what you think, I couldn't manage to make weekly vlogs all the time but are vlogs in general of interest? I hope these videos might bring people some comfort or inspiration to make art, I hope it might help you in some way. It's still quite gloomy and dark in the shots and I do hope...
Hello there...and the making of the 'Pyjamas' zine.

(I apologise the video is out of focus and badly lit at the start but it does improve!) Hello there, this is my first attempt at a youtube video so I do apologise it's a little rough but I wanted to start somewhere, it's quite funny how I mentioned refilming some of these clips because I'd rambled on a lot the day before when this is still 23 minutes long, I appreciate it's a pretty long first ...
Just a suggestion, more vlogs even if they aren't art related, that is if your open to them. Or maybe more random videos, your music life would be interesting to hear about, nature sketches as you said while 'rambling'. And I liked how you also talked about, just life in general. It is so relatable, in my experience, starting afresh has its highs, your learning this cool stuff but when some thoughts hit you and you realise how much time it's taking and probably will take, that comes in so hard
Thankyou so much for your comment these are really great suggestions and it's encouraging because they're all things I'd definitely do and have been thinking about, it's also good to hear general vlogs are welcome as I sometimes feel pressured I need art to show or some project to talk about or I can't make a video, so that's great and I'll definitely keep all that in mind :)
I normally don’t like long videos but it’s been really nice drawing along to your ramblings ❤ I’m only about halfway through and I’ve got to go do other things, though I’m sure I’m gonna come back !!
Thankyou so much for watching as much as you did, I'm glad you enjoyed it and did some drawing! :)
@@sammackulinartgot twenty minutes left now!! It’s feels like I’ve got a friend to draw with lol Edit: I’m all done now that went by so quick !!! Omw to go watch all of you videossss
@@The._cardigans Thankyou so much so glad you enjoyed it, I hoped it would feel like drawing with a friend so that's great! :)
Really enjoyed having this on in the background whilst I was doing some 3D modelling. Trying to teach myself and it can be pretty frustrating, so this was a welcome calming video to have on.
Thankyou so much I'm really glad you found it calming, 3D modelling sounds cool but very difficult! Best of luck with it :)
i love ur channel NEW SUB
Thankyou so much!
Really enjoyed the video showing the thought process of your art. Good to hear such detail and passion to get it just right. Thank you for sharing this. ❤
Thankyou so much I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)
I'm drawing my comic with your video in the background right now, but I'm lazy and I watch the video instead of drawing. 😅😅😅😅
Haha that's ok you're trying 😅 good luck with your comic!
Just wanted to say, I'm loving this rn. The backwards and forward on the decision on the pan is so so relatable! Feels like we're hanging out 😂
Thankyou so much so glad you're enjoying it! Haha I nearly cut some of that out because I couldn't believe how long I'd spent on just the pan but wanted to be real, I'm glad it feels like that that was definitely my hope! 😊
I'm 7 minutes into the video, and you know when you get that feeling like, 'I can't waste a second of this'? So, yeah. I'm about to head out for some exercise, but I can't wait to come back and study along with you. This video will probably be on repeat for a while! Thank you
Thankyou so much I'm so glad you were enjoying it and hope you'll get some work done when you come back to it, appreciate your comment :)
Some days i could have so much energy to gets things done, but at the end of the day i feel i could have done more. And then somedays days are just slow. Wish there was a way to just recharge. We grow older others stick to what they started off and have a life with it and some have to 'start' afresh
Yes energy levels are really hard to predict and rarely stay the same even if you always do the same routine. That's true, people's lives are so different I know people in such different paths of life already at this age.
Sometimes I wish I could recharge my energy like this, like a cyborg 😅
Haha me too! 😅
i’ve just graduated from doing illustration at uni and it so daunting to just be starting out, i find your videos so comforting !
I'm so glad to hear that, that move from leaving uni is so difficult! But don't worry you're already ahead of the game I didn't even study this subject I changed paths post uni :)
@ thank you :) that’s nice to hear it’s so easy to feel behind/compare yourself with art!
watching this before I go to sleep good night 💗💗
What a cozy vibe. Earned a new sub! Love from India.
Thanks so much I really appreciate it! 🙂
Cool hearing from someone exploring artistic avenues. Cards might not be for you but comics can be. Now to watch everything else on your channel. Maybe if you don't have much of your own to share you could talk about art that you recently enjoyed or felt inspired by
Thankyou so much for your comment and that's a great idea, especially as I recently got some new comics! :)
I read the two issues on your website, seems really promising! I love the colours and the art style :)
Thankyou so much for reading it, I really appreciate that! :)
this is really nice to work along to!
I'm happy to hear that!
hey, just talk and you're definately not rambling. I love listening to you
Thanks so much! :)

I am the same way not many people in my younger years knew all of me they seen the pieces I showed them. Im a person who also values deeper connections. And have issues making that initial connection with people but I think I'm getting better at it. Very very slowly. Great drawings this episode
That's really interesting, I'm glad you related! Thankyou so much :)
Thank you for this video! Really interesting knowing where your inspirations come from ^^
Thankyou so much I'm glad you found it interesting! :)
great video and i totally love the idea!
Thankyou! :)
Another great insightful video and a good help to many people out there going through the same experience. Great zine too. Look forward to the next one ❤
Thankyou so much :)
My time at Uni was similar and it's something I carried with me into adulthood. Thnx for talking about it!
It's definitely something I carried with me for a long time too, no worries thankyou for watching :)
I loved it! Lately I feel stuck and maybe write a comic about it would help. I'll give it a go. Thanks for the inspo. Autistic person over here says hi :)
Thankyou so much I'm glad it might have inspired you, that's great to hear! Hi :)
Thank you so much for this video. I really felt connected :) I adore your videos, love from Brazil <3

It’ll be super cool to look back on this and see how much you’ve improved and the characters have developed. ❤
I hope so! :)
Great video again. A serial comic sounds great giving the incentive to keep going. Artwork fabulous as always. 😊
Thankyou so much :)
your vibes are soo perfect!! and i love your style!! i'd lovee to buy some of your art and support you one day
Thankyou so much! :)
The accent is so classy wth😅
This is the first time i found you,and i love everything you make and how you show it to the world! Im looking forward for more videos to watch and listen to while animating^_^
Thankyou so much I really appreciate it, glad you enjoyed! :)
I feel you so much when it comes to ideas vs actually doing the thing, haha. I feel like, especially if you have a vivid imagination, the picture of something in your mind is so powerful and clear that taking that image into reality is such a struggle. (This was my biggest struggle around finally starting to make videos, and I'm still struggling now! So it was really great to hear your thoughts.) Sometimes not planning something out entirely before starting it is scary, but a lot of the times I find it helps to just go with the flow. I try to lean into restraints/loose sketches and ideas more than concrete outlines, but there's something so nice about knowing exactly how everything should go haha. Proud of you for working through doubt! I'm excited to see how the rest of Toast in the Machine goes!
It's great to hear you related, yeah it can be tough to just go with it and start but often if you wait too long the idea just never happens! Thankyou so much thankyou for your comment! :)
I love your art style! Also your voice is super relaxing to listen to while drawing)
Thankyou so much! I'm glad to hear that :)
I don’t think this is an actual problem for most women.
Ah it's great to see a new video from you. I was only thinking the other day if you had a video out
Thankyou! Glad you enjoy them :)
I love your videos! I'd like to make a comic one day. :)
Thankyou so much! I hope you do :)
wow
I enjoyed seeing the process and your adventure in the real world. Looking forward to the next comic and video.
Thanks so much! :)
Thank you for sharing yet again your art and innermost thoughts. Your art and whats behind it is amazing. Your talent goes in hand with your beautiful soul. You are following the path that is meant for you. Bless you
Thankyou so much :) 🧡
you are so cool
looove your art style !
I'm painting as I go through lung cancer. I'm working to keep my insurance to pay for treatment. Thank you for acknowledging the systems are broken.
I hope you will be better soon and your treatment goes well. It's awful you have to work at such a challenging time to afford it, healthcare is a human right.
:o so cool you draw on the back of the 8 page zines i've never seen that before
I wonder why more people don't do it, I guess if you're making just one on paper the paper can be too thin and it would bleed through so that's why it's avoided a lot! And thanks! :)
