I attended Richmond School in 4th Grade. Jane Smyda whose name was Jane Wilson was in the same class. Jack Erath's mother was our teacher.

I was rather disappointed with some of the information and definitely the authenticity of this beautiful log building but most concerned with the use of concrete as chinking. This greatly is a. cause for future decay and with new synthetics available would recommend replacing all of that concrete with log jam or another synthetic. Please don't take this comment as anything other than constructive criticism. you all need be congratulated for helping preserve our past.

1800 is not that old someone may think . But in a life of a log house . Like here in Québec Canada even if French occupation dating from 15 000 very extremely rare to find something older then 300 years ago .

They’ll be here this Monday to do this type of bath to shower conversion. We’re almost 60, I’ve had many joint replacements and our existing tub is 24” high!!! Just too dangerous and scary now. Freaks me out every time I have to get in. This project isn’t cheap but it’s our last rodeo so to speak for anymore major upgrades to our home and more importantly, it’s NECESSARY. We can’t wait!!!!! To walk in and feel safe will mean everything, to me especially. 🙏🥹
