Trying out a new Binding Foot! (Hint: get one!)
Great tutorial.
After sewing is completed couldn't you go into the backs of the blocks and, using embroidery scissors, cut out some of that 4.5" fabric to use elsewhere?
Hi, I stumbled onto this tutorial today, and I have to say I love your teaching method! Your directions are very clear as you not only show us, you also tell us the purpose of doing things a certain way. That is very much appreciated on my end. It helps me to remember easier. 💜🩵 I love your fabric choices as well. You officially have a new subscriber 🎉 I'm looking forward to watching more of your tutorials. Have a wonderful day!! 😊
Omfg you just made my day!!!!!!!
Thamk you🎉 Love to here the cat ❤
Thank you for this great video!! It was nice to see you were located in Massillon Ohio - my Dad was born there!! Would love to visit sometime 😊
I don't understand how your back doesn't have straggling threads from where you started the first vertical strips.
@@susanwerner5783 Trim them as you go!
Your hinged ruler/card is ingenious! 😂

I found my light table at Goodwill!
Thanks, this really helped, what is your board made of that you stuck the pins into?
@@nancyleatham7852 it's just a piece of foam board covered in flannel, duct taped to the back side!
How wide are the strips you are using?
@@tommycartwright5546 they varied because they were scrap pieces. Anywhere from 1” to 2” wide
Wow. This will make my donation quilts so much faster and easier to make! I love that you can literally use any layer cake or charm square pack and make a really cool quilt.
What a lovely tutorial! I really enjoyed it as I now understand. Thank you very much!! I will come to your shop sometime. I live in Ohio.
@@darlenepatrick9688 can’t wait to meet you!
Love this. thank you.
Thank you! In the past I have thought about making these but never did. Thank you for specific directions and giving me motivation 🙂🙂
Thank you your mug mat looked very pretty. I like the idea if the sealing tape at the gap.
I'm. New here from Syracuse NY York USA and I love your videos please continue to keep sharing,
Beautiful project, and that Xanadu fabric is sumptuous,
Very well done easy to follow! Love the material!
Super tutorial. I've been making round coasters with binding and the binding has been quite a challenge especially on something round. Definitely trying your method now. Just what i was looking for. And your's turned out so pretty with your choice of fabrics. Thank you. Now a new subscriber.
For my round coasters, I trim the seam with pinking shears before turning inside out. I then edge stitch all around either by machine or with embroidery floss by hand. Be careful to not trim the seam too much. Pressing before stitching gives a crisp edges.
Very clear! Thank you.
Very nice and every step so patiently explained! Thank you from Germany ❤
Fantastic thank you. How many 10” squares for the quilt?
I need to find out if bernina has one!
💕
Great tutorial! Thanks Amanda
You take to long explaining

@@jspyrogram sorry what's the question?
I bought the pattern, and I really appreciate the tutorial. I'm looking forward to making several bags. I loved the shop and all of the samples!!
Thank you! Text or email me a picture when you get it all done so I can include it in the next newsletter!
Plan to see bird next time. Make a little pocket on corner for tea bab or little matching napkin
I also wind up using them to put under vases with flowers, or flower pots, in case some water spills or leaks, and I don't put bubbles on my wooden surface or leave water rings. I want to give mine away when I start, and then I fall in love with them, and I may have a problem now :D
I use mismatched salad plates from yard sales under my clay pots. Adding mug rugs under the plates themselves seems to be the finishing touch to my small balcony garden. I've always enjoyed repurposing items. Especially when the addition of colors brought more butterflies and hummingbirds to my blossoms ❤
I ran out of batting so I ended up using some old, not so great quality fleece instead. Mug mats turned out so cute!
Видео почти на полчаса. Всё это можно было показать за 5-7 минут.
If this is too slow for you, since you seem to be complaining that the video is half an hour, and it could have been shown in 5-7 minutes, you can always scroll forward, or set a faster speed when watching. In my opinion, the speed is just right, and every step is throughly explained, especially for beginners! Sometimes it’s better not to write anything, if you have nothing nice to comment on! Thank you for your consideration for the next time that may come up.
I tried this and omg this is such a good hack so I don’t have to spend a bunch of time drawing lines on my project
Do a close up of the finished product
This would make a GREAT baby quilt!
Sehr schön, danke
@@sanja1002 vielen dank!
Thank you so much! That really clarified the process, and you spoke calmly, slowly and cleary so it’s easy to understand. Thanks you!
What do you use as a foundation fabric?
i really like your blocks
thank you. i like your energy.
I appreciate that!
Thanks for this tip! I've just begun doing Quilt As You Go in order to speed up the process of finishing quilts for donation. This is a great tip!
You are so welcome!
What size needle are you using. Thanks
she uses a standard needle for this. It's not any more thick than when you would quilt on your domestic machine. 👍🐝
Cute pattern!
Very clever!
Best of luck with your surgery. I enjoyed this video❤
I love your comments about the fabrics and how they bring back memories. Before my mother passed, my mother and I made scrappy quilts for my children using up (some of) her stash of remnants and scraps. Those quilts contained fabrics that were used by my mother and grandmother to make clothes for me when I was young that I still remember and even fabrics from aprons my grandmother always wore. I've always like the look of these braided quilts. I'm putting one on my list of projects to consider for the future. Too many UFO's to start one now! Great tutorial and project idea as usual.
Thanks for sharing this scrape buster project. 😃
