Cuanto la gusta, la gusta, la gusta, la gusta, la gusta, la gusta, la gusta Cuanto la gusta, la gusta, la gusta, la gusta, la gusta, la gusta We gotta get goin', where are we goin', what are we gonna do? We're on our way to somewhere, the three of us and you What'll we see there, who will be there, what'll be the big surprise? There may be caballeros with dark and flashing eyes We're on our way...

My mother - who just died last year at 100 - loved this song. She'd sing it to babies and especially our pets. She was in hospice the last year, and I'd go every day to see her, and bring the dog (19 1/2 now!) and I'd lift Chica onto mom's bed, and no matter how out of it (dementia) or poorly she'd be feeling, she'd squeal "my baby" and break out in this song (while Chica licked her nose)
Doris has excellent timing, a great musical voice, tall, slim and a very good dancer, delightful personality - extremely talented lady.
That is so cute!
A little too cute. Though Doris sounds great.
Very!
I listened to this and Ghost Riders in the 50"s while Milk Cows By HAND!
Oh wow!
Era una mujer preciosa. Esa belleza de los años 20. 50 y 60 espectaculares

Não é Maraia. É Maria.
This is weird af. I was just in the bathroom, and this song just popped into my head. I come back to my laptop, and there it is in my YT feed.
I remember this from a movie I went to see as a kid. Paint Your Wagon . So, I just looked up the movie - I was 8 years old. I loved this song - haven’t heard it in many years decades. This just popped up. Very cool❗️ This gentleman has quite a unique voice. 📻🙂
Love the man and his music.
Away out here they've got a name for rain and wind and fire. The rain is Tess, the fire's Joe. They call the wind Maria. Maria blows the stars around and sets the clouds a-flyin'. Maria makes the mountains sound like folks was out there dyin'. Maria. (Maria). Maria. (Maria). They call the wind Maria. Before I knew Maria's name and heard her wail and whinin', I had a gal. She had me and the sun was always shinin'. But then one day I left my gal. I left her far behind me and now I'm lost, so gol' darn lost not even God can find me. Maria. (Maria.) Maria. (Maria.) They call the wind Maria. Out here they have a name for rain and wind and fire only. When you're lost and all alone, there ain't no name for lonely. And I'm a lost and lonely man without a star to guide me. Maria blow my love to me. I need my gal beside me. Maria. (Maria.) They call the wind Maria. Maria! Maria. (Maria.) They call the wind Maria.
Worth a second listen..I think
Drfinitely worth it

The best song in The Wizard Of Oz 1939.
Don't remember her, what part did she play ?
She wasn’t in the movie
Never realized this song is that old.
It is from the late 30’s
Big singer
LOL thanks to Fallout 4 I can't hear this song without thinking of synths and super-mutants marauding in downtown Boston!
I've always loved this side -- a real all-star affair from Capitol! The sentiment of Berlin's lyric is wonderful, too.
I never knew Benny Goodman sang until I heard that, lol
@@thatoldcroonr Well, he at least thought he did. 😁
Julie London , Maravillosa Voz y Melodía ❤

Glad you enjoyed it!
A lovely song from my favorite Christmas album. Thank you for posting this!
You are welcome!
This is one of my all-time favourite winter-themed songs. The Miller orch make a real production number of the song, which they introduced in Twentieth Century-Fox' _Sun Valley Serenade_ . We see that the band boasted an impressive group of vocalists at this time, with Tex, the rhythm & novelty singer; Ray, the balladeer; The Mods and Paula Kelly (subbing for Marion Hutton) all joining in. Paula, who was the wife of Modernaire Hal Dickinson, had previously sung with the Al Donahue band and would go on to sing for Artie Shaw's orch, really was a more skilled vocalist than Marion (who herself had great charm and was a good fit for the GM band); in the ensemble vocal passages, Paula's sound is a great addition.
I liked Paula more than Marion in the Modernaires
yey haby!
first
When was this recorded?
It was recorded in 1934 with Anson Weeks
I have a cd of hers..dang what a great voice.❤
She has an amazing voice!
This reminds me of my Grandmother who was a Captain in the Salvation Army and she used to sing it to raise money for homeless individuals
That’s so sweet! Your Grandmother must have been a very sweet lady! ❤️❤️❤️
Miss London sends a shiver down my spine. Who is the saxophonist?
I do not know, I will try and find out.
A classic song for the GIs of WW2. A song of longing and hope.
It really is amazing
