I saw him again… it was raining, heavy drops of rain glistening on my nylon parka.. He had just gotten in from his usual morning run as I was coming in from my regularly scheduled night shift… A small smirk flashed on his face as I opened the lobby door, his tanned chiseled physique shining through his tank top like polished marble in the humid air. When I moved in to my new apartment building it was like a brick hit me in the stomach. His strong jaw and his kind eyes stole my attention from the very first time I laid eyes on him.. We’ve exchanged hellos here and there but People who look and act like him never fall for someone like me. Unassuming, not extraordinary.. It’s like we’re polar opposites.. Our unlikely worlds have collided and now I can’t stop thinking about him. Does it even make sense? To waste time pondering on what it could be? As he selects his floor I dropped my keys on the cold stainless steel floor. “Damn it” I mutter as I scramble to pickup the keys. To my surprise, I find a set of strong hands holding my keys. “Hey stranger! Looking for these?” His voice mellow but deep in tone. As I grab the keys my legs give out and I fall onto the floor much my dismay

I spent many years in Hell but i never met the Devil either he doesn't exist or he doesn't hate me. Only suffering i experience was by human hands. Back when i was a kid in the 1990's i wanted to raise my hand and ask for help. I didn't because i knew exactly what would happen even my mother wanted to get me help. We both of us knew what would happen. They'd put me in a padded room and put a straight jacket on give me doses of medication twice a day for 6 months. Then release me and say get over it and after getting out be ostracized from society. A 10 year old shouldn't know what it's like to hold a very large and sharp knife to there own throat and fight the urge to pull. I didn't start getting better until i was 15. Nowadays you almost get an award & a parade for saying your dealing with a mental health issue. Not that way 30 years ago or 20 or 10. Hell society not throwing you in the garbage because you ask for help only started 2020 because of Covid-19 suddenly everyone you bump into is asking how your doing. Fisrt 3 months of Covid-19 more people asked me how i was doing then in the previous 20 years. Society actually caring about mental health is great now but i needed that F€CKING HELP 30 F€CKING YEARS AGO. Bitter,resentful,angry hell yeah. The Devil doesn't hate me. The only people i can relate are war veteran or anyone with P.T.S.D.

Seeing comments like ‘sleep beautiful angel’ or ‘sometimes all you need to feel is comfort’ makes me so mad-stfu with that nonsense. No wonder so many people are stuck feeling sad and depressed if you’re actually going along with what these people say. I used to be sad and depressed too, but I fought my way out of it. I didn’t sit around waiting for comfort-I worked my ass off for it, and now all that comes my way is success. I’m so damn happy because I refused to stay stuck. Comfort is exactly where you stay average, where you stay weak. If you want to be happy, then do something about it. If not, stay normal, stay average. That’s on you. I listen to this kind of music because it lets me think and explore my mind while I’m in the gym, grinding, and working hard to find peace with myself. But let me be real with you: nothing will change if you stay comfortable. So stop feeding into that soft, weak mentality.
