I think people certainly had more imagination back then if nothing else. I think many cars now have the potential but people have lost the art of using their imagination. That's why it's good to see the cars at this show as people are still building these older cars to display.

Ah yeah lovely motor chap. It's great to see so many cars back out. I have one car (corsab) being rebuilt (see other videos) and mine was the Transit with tron lines on the balcony. Be good to catch up next year if your there come say hello.

He used to show it all the time, then it was off the road for a few years, then he showed it once last year, before I bought it off him in Feb this year. It needs a fair bit or resto work now, as it’s 20 odd years since it was painted! I’ll have a nosy at your other vids. I’ve just uploaded a reveal vid for my Cav as I’ve not revealed it to the channel until now.

Nathan has done well to bring the pink Corsa B back from where it was, it was in a bit of a mess stored with windows down so damp had got in etc, only ever did 2 shows back in the day and Modified Nationals was one of them. A shame Xqusite don't produce stuff anymore they were producing some truly epic stuff as you say glad to see a lot more than we think has managed to be saved each year, people dig it back out. The purple Corsa C is owned by a chap called Max and I have to say I really love this build I was always a B man myself so was never a massive C fan but this one is truly done well. Glad you enjoyed.

@@thealchemist638 Thanks for the reply 👍 Yeah I remember only ever seeing it in the flesh at the 1 show then it just vanished, I just figured it had been parted out or stolen or something; was amazed to see it appearing in vids! Fair play to the chap who owns it now for bringing it back to life. Will keep my eye on this channel, best of luck with your own Corsa build (had an arden blue B as my first car so it's always good to see em getting some love). 😎

@BeanieRob so Nath bought it from a couple of brothers from what i understand. They also have a couple of other projects tucked away. He has really done it justice in restoring it to how it was. He has more plans for it just from a convo we had recently so watch out for it. My Corsa will be hopefully out next year there's still much to do on the exterior and we will build the interior once that's finished but it is something I've tried to share as I know people enjoy a good work in progress.

No I never had this problem with the static blue coloured DRL units. I now have colour changing ones which allow me to change them so I can pass MOT. My advise here would be to message Autobeam on Facebook and ask if there is a way this can be resolved. Have you tried your standard DRL units back in the vehicle to make sure its not a fault with the vehicle also. Hope you get this sorted.

@@thealchemist638 Tried the standard DRL, it dims when signal and back to full after. Messaged them on their website but nth yet. Thanks for your help. For the color changing one I see review saying the DRL is barely visible in day as the brightness is fairly weak, seems mostly for night use, are urs too?

Yeah the colours and white are faint in the day but it was only the effect at night I'm after to go with underglow. If your standard units do it then there has to be a fault with van itself surely. Nothing to do with AB. Use Facebook to message them they always suggest.

@thealchemist638 My daily driver is basically the same car but just stock plus, I have a mix of American and Japanese cars, I pretty much like all cars lol I was growing up what this style was everywhere and it takes me back that's probably what I like the most, and the level of quality.

@truth.hurts... which one are you looking at? Get on Facebook or Instagram on some of the Max Power pages and have a look they seem to be few and far between but people often post up ones for sale, trawl through market place even if you buy a standard one and then build it from there its going to be another saved and loved once more. I've had a soft spot for an Astra D or Astra G for many years and agree lovely cars. Lots of places finding old moulds and remaking the kits now also the scene is very much coming back. It's just knowing where to look.

Everyone has their preference and thats why the show caters for everyone it's not all about 1 type of car.

Yep well aware of that the DRL units are colour changing so white when driving on the road.

Thanks bud. I did have a completely different design for it but went the simple route in the end and ran out of paint. More arrived yesterday for me to finish it off. Did you just clear coat over once done or leave as was. It's good paint for sure 👌🏻

@@thealchemist638 clear coated the pug the wetsanded the hell out of it to get it how it is,didn't come up to badly to be honest,we gave it 3 coats of lacquer

It's getting there slowly.

Always a nice edition to a build, as with most I see the throttle cable kinda loops over the top of the engine but have found a way it can be changed to hide that if you do it hit me up I'll put you in touch with a man who can explain it.
