I'm just confused as to the weird off and on way they view the NSO service. I think they need to be more transparent with their road maps.

I enjoyed the presentation, level 5 is working on some interesting stuff and it's cool to see a Baten Kaitos get a rerelease especially since those games are kind of expense on the GC. Yeah Nintendo themselves didn't have much but lets not forget 10 years ago Nintendo barely had any real 3rd party support as well so they were the sole company trying to keep the Wii U afloat.

I jumped right into it on 00 and was like "whoa let me take a step back and get acclimated first" it's very disorienting at first but takes all of one level to get used to the default controls.

Yeah SwitchUp recommends using ZR as the trigger button but I don't mind using ZL as its muscle memory from the N64

@@BiteSizePixel My trigger button is also ZL. ZR switches the YXBA-buttons to be the C-buttons.

Yeah it's interesting because most 360 games haven't skyrocketed in price like other consoles for some reason. In making the video I realized I played so many 360 games but don't own them and was thinking about hunting some down that I had enjoyed. Like Crackdown and Fable 2

If it's true that this comes from the same forum that the Splatoon one leaked then it's very likely this could be true. I'm hoping it is as I held out from getting a Splatoon one for a potential Zelda edition.

Indie games might not be for everyone and that's fine. I just find it weird how content creators outright attack small developers for making a game. The barrier to entry is pretty low, you just have to buy a dev kit from a company to be able to develop for it. I just never understand why channels will take it as an insult that someone wants to make a game they're passionate about.

@@BiteSizePixel That’s very fair. I haven’t seen that myself but I tend to only follow smaller channels on here as they tend to produce more honest videos. No harm to the guys trying to make little games but I’ve very little interest in those. The only indie game that’s clicked with me in recent years is the masterpiece that is Hades.

I haven't played Hades myself but I've heard it's good. I'd recommend Eastward if you like 2D Zelda style adventure games.

It's definitely more for a casual experience, but even then I have to question what their end goal was. Niantic charges micro transactions for stuff in game but I dont see why there would be any need to do so. The whole idea seemed half way planned out.

We out here offering up solutions lol. But yeah the eShop performance is terrible it shouldn't lag as much as it does especially considering how well the eShop ran on the Wii U and 3DS.

I do agree with you the Direct was very RPG focused, and yes its fair to comment on that in regards to your personal tastes and life circumstance. I myself has a huge back log of RPGs on the Switch that I haven't even cracked open yet but still find myself getting excited in seeing new RPGs getting announced lol. However I don't think its fair to hold Nintendo accountable for what third party developers are working on. The studios that are designing these games/or re-releasing them in some cases, have some sort of passion for that style of game its' almost semi disrespectful to brush them all off just because multiple studios have a similar idea. This was something that creators were doing as well in the mini partner showcase which is just disrespectful in my opinion. Now obviously Nintendo is the one to curate the presentation so I can understand how people will default to blaming them for lack of variety. Though Nintendo should only be held responsible for their lack of content in this presentation. Most people shrugged off the content update for Strikers and Switch Sports as they already regard those games dead in their eyes. Only thing Nintendo really revealed to us was Pikmin 4 everything else under their umbrella was already known or released content. I do think Nintendo really didn't have much to show in this direct but again I generally find a few things to walk away from, from these presentations so I'm never truly disappointed. I think my main issue and maybe this wasn't communicated well in the video is the issue with other content creators behavior when it comes to directs. There's very much a pattern every time a direct comes around. Tons of discussion and hype and then a general backlash from these creators when they feel as if it was inadequate; And I think what my main issue with that is, that it bleeds into their communities they have and everyone just kinda of has the same view and talking points at the end of the day. Hope that all makes sense.

As far as the other point of discussion goes. I'm very much of the belief that I only collect what I intend to play. There are few exceptions to that rule. I have some Japanese boxed games of series that I like, that I would never be able to play due to region lock and I don't read Japanese. Everyone is going to have their own motivation for collecting. I personally don't see the point in system completion like some others do especially if that individual has no intention on playing a majority of the games they own. It takes away from someone that genuinely wants to experience that particular game for what ever reason. Additionally it takes another game out of the pool of available stock that is in circulation and then causes more demand which can increase the cost. Which in my opinion most retro systems are inflated way beyond what they should be especially looking at what prices were pre-covid. Like you said I also find it weird that people are constantly looking for new experiences to add to their collection when they have entire libraries of games at their disposal. Sometimes I myself look at my modest collection of physical games and my near 400 game library on Steam and ask myself why I keep buying new games when I've experienced maybe a quarter of all the games I own.

Oh I def have FOMO. When I was younger and not connected to the internet as much I got all of my video game info from EGM so maybe once a month I would learn about something new to get excited for. I ended up enjoying the games I had way more and really being able to sit and play them without always looking on to the horizon for something else to occupy my time. Yeah new hardware would be nice I don't mind the wait though I have so many games I need to get through; and am anticipating so many that aren't out yet. I haven't seen the direct yet so I'm sure there will be more to add to my list. That's an interesting idea, I think some of them would have to be omitted from an audio only format as I try and use visual representation for some of my talking points. I'll definitely see how I could work that though thanks for the suggestion.

@@BiteSizePixel OK I'll take the bait. Peronsonally, I haven't really had any latency issues and I play on pc over wifi. It could just be your isp or something like that man. The only times I had problems with the game is when I just couldn't find a match after like 5 minute wait times, but those have gotten better. I haven't noticed any glitched animations or anything like what you've described. It may just be something on your end you have overlooked. I don't know. I really enjoy this game and I love the idea of it, but I am really not very good at it. Some br games grab me by the balls, like Fortnite, others don't at all. I suck at Realm Royale and don't care to get better. I played Spellbreak for a little bit, but it felt like the endgames were a little too chaotic and there wasn't enough cover or good splaces to go and heal without just getting blasted. I won some games on it though. This game I am having a hard time getting the hang of. It's a deep game mechanically, and at times I have no chance against some of the other players I've come across. They block me or counter me and punish me to where I'm basically stun locked and can't really do much. I think I need to go into playground and do the exercises they've set up or something. I've won some games in duos, but I am going to try to get better. I think super moves are maybe a little too overpowered and they seem to be spammed in most fights. I can't count how many times I was fighting someone and got 3rd partied by a random who was supered. Basically what I'm saying is that the fights can be frustrating and lead to some really discouraging losses, but I'm gonna keep banging my head against the wall until it clicks and I get it all. So the game must be good, otherwise I would say fuck this game shit game and not play it. I hope your experience improves in the future. The game is still very new and I'm sure a lot of quality of life things will be updated, and maybe some balancing changes. Maybe a buff to stam pots since nobody ever uses them. That better?

Much better for conversation. So it could be something to do with my ping as well which I would love to be able to see what my ping is in matches. Like I had stated in the video I think being informed in that way allows me to make better judgements when it comes to engaging in fights. I've never experienced a que time more than half a minute except for when I turned off cross play, which at that point I never even found a match. Most likely since the game defaults to enabling cross play. On the reddit it there does seem to be a grow discussion of the latency in the game and it's effect on matches, and as I stated the Mechanics of the game are fun and can lead to some interesting combo strings especially with jump canceling. I would hope the devs continue to patch the game for more stability, the game can really change the way people look at BRs, but that's only if the community sticks around.

Oh did it? I had no idea haha. Most of the time when I played multiplayer I was in the same room as the person so I never needed to look for it. If that is the case that makes Nintendo look even worse with this issue.
