Do Record Cleaning Machines Work? The Nitty Gritty 1.0 Tested!
I finally decided to test the effectiveness of my Nitty Gritty 1.0 record cleaning machine. I recorded a passage of Ravel after just cleaning the LP with a carbon fiber brush. I then cleaned the LP with Audio Intelligent 1 step and rinsed it with Audio Intelligent Ultra Pure Rinse. I also gave the record a quick anti-stat treatment with a zero-stat gun. The results, in my opinion, are pretty clear!

Great video man. I have like 200 beats made on my triton extreme but my jog wheel and start/stop button dont work. Do u have any tips on repairing these? I need help. Thanks
@@AP530 yeah you are going to have to replace the switch. Take out the old one and solder in a new one. Not fun (for me) I hate soldering 💁🏻♂️ replacing the rotary dial might be easier I’ve never done that, but it might be soldered in as well. I use syntaur.com for parts
@@jacksonrauch9429 do i only need to replace old switch n solder in new switch n thats all? Or do i need to replace the buttons as well? Are the buttons still fine but the switch needs to be replaced or i have to replace switch AND plastic buttons? Thanks
@@AP530 call syntaur to verify, but it is most likely this: syntaur.com/Part-4801-Pushbutton-tact-switch-9.5mm-2-pin The buttons are separate and most likely fine

Loved this band what a blast from the past ❤
As a guitar player, I really like seeing things from a keyboard perspective.
Hi man! Sorry one question… can I send signal to fx with with zero volume from channel for recording without flangering? Thanks a lot
Thanks for doing the video mate. I might have missed it but do you know if there are any preamps in this bad boy? Can you hear any sound degradation when using it? Thanks
Jackson, did you film this with a potato in 2020? Amazing quality!
Get a life amigo
Hi Jackson..thanks for the video. I've got a Korg Triton (not extreme) 76 note. Last night during a gig while playing, two black notes got stuck in the 'down' position and wouldn't spring back up. (and yes, I got continuous sound to the point I just turned off the board and limped thru the gig with my other board). The key isn't broken, the key sounds....it just binds. I can physically pull it up and it stops sounding but when I press it , feels like it binds on something and stays stuck in down position. Any thoughts on what to do? Take it all apart and inspect? anyone else run into this? Is the classic triton easier/harder to take keybed apart compared to extreme? Thanks for any help as I love the board and no one in Salt Lake City provides synth repair like this. :o(
Hi there. You’re very welcome for the video. I yes, take the bottom off of the Korg and look at the keys that are sticking. You will see the underside of them to be honest. I’m not sure what key bed the 76 note cord uses. It may be a different key bed it probably is if you wanna take the back off and send me some pictures let me know.
@@jacksonrauch9429 so i took the back off and i can see up at the top of the key (where it snaps in to a squarish slot, that the plastic has chipped so the two stuck keys will not stay 'seated' in the slot. I'm not crazy about removing boards and unscrewing the keybed (sounds like that is a lot of work?) so I'm thinking of 'macgyvering' a solution, like maybe crazy gluing some kind of pin to the plastic to hold the key in place. fingers crossed.... :o)
@@HannahMontanaWannaB1 you will see that I addressed this problem in the video. I suspected that’s what it was but it’s weird to have two of them break at once! You are going to have to replace the keys. It’s not that hard. Just unscrew the key bed from the keyboard. Take the wires off replace the keys and put it all back together. If you want me to help you let me know.
@@jacksonrauch9429 well, i think I'm buying 2 new keys and replacing them. Which screws hold the keybed on?
thanks! i always look up how they work with pitch bend. that is one of my favorite things on synths. so thank you for saving me the let down.
Does anybody know which DAC chip is used? Is the same DSD1794 as M5? Which are other significant differences with the premium model?
También lo tengo Solo k no puedo conseguir la banda 😐
Great upload! Would it be possible for you to upload the B-side "Ball And Chain" as well? I have never heard it.
Love this song
Hey bro 😎 nice video thanks. I have a friends triton in Chicago i need to fix. Highest G key. May used your video for help. Cheers and thanks for filming. And might need this for dx7. Yea I started repairing my ARP Odyssey on the 1980s. too expensive is right to get these easy things repaired at a shop. . Rock on.
Probably a silly question but, can the output go direct into an equalizer (without distortion)?
Since you're using 15/16 as fx return, should have tested how feedback sounds by turning up that fx knob.
Hey Jackson does this model comes with a preamp?
Thanks for this! Now how much do I have to bribe you to show us Heaven Help The Fool?!
great vid! I have a Neve summing mixer which has 2 stereo output (which you can apply a different coloration on each one) and I want to sum those two in one stereo pair into my interface. Would this unit do the work?? Im trying to figure it out. Thanks!
Hello again! Radial Mix 2:1 is the unit you want, it sums 2 signals to 1 and can variable attenuation on each input signal and ground lift - you'll need two for a stereo channel setup. It's passive so won't affect the sound quality of the Neve
Hello. The A key just below middle C is ringing or modulating louder when played than any other key on my Triton Extreme (88 weighted keys). Not familiar with keyboard electronics and really out of my league to open the case. This situation has just occurred. I don’t gig with this, but use it daily in my studio. No idea if fixing the one key is easily doable or what my repair options are. The sound of the one key when pressed is very distinguishable when playing the rig…makes it annoying to hear. Thanks for any help or suggestion.
Hi there. The key bed in your Triton extreme will not be the same as the one in this video. I am not sure what keybad is in there. However I have had similar problems with my Yamaha cp4. Most likely there is some kind of rubber pad that detects velocity. It sounds like that pad has gone bad and can't detect the velocity on that key. So you would have to replace that part
@@jacksonrauch9429 Thanks Jason. Is this something I should/could try to fix or replace myself…or should I find a technician that can fix it? For example, I live in the DC area and the music store I purchased the Triton from does repairs (I believe). My concern is the practical cost for that kind repair. I love the rig, but can’t see paying hundreds to fix (?). I’m guessing at cost. Thanks again.
Sorry, meant Jackson, not Jason.
@@terryparham3913 sorry for the delay. I would do it myself. At least take the back off and take a look at it to see whether it looks like something that you'd be comfortable doing. I may have some time to assist later this week if you want
I have not heard from you doll
Only. For records n tape
I won't play an lp unless It's been deep cleaned. I use the nitty gritty 1.5. It's so noisy I use ear protection. The results are impressive. Takes about 4 or 5 minutes per lp. I'm not sold on subsonic cleaners because of their aggressive cleaning. Those are delicate grooves. My 2 cents. Thanks.
Hey Jackson, Could you please recommend any online store or website where I can buy the keyboard keys separately?
Hey there. What specific keys do you need?

Hiiii my friend. Can I talk to you on masenger 👍
What's up?
Wonderfull
Is there a possibility that the system files (pcg, combi, sequencer / song / and pcg with samples) that I made on my Korg Triton Classic, will be originally loaded into Korg Triton Extreme ??? 🙄 🤔
Sure!
Vu just wondering I already have a behringer Adat8200 and the thing is I wanted to use my audient I tree face preamp. If I hook up all of synths and connect the main out of this machine into the two of my audient preamps would that work? Thank you
Yes, it would work. Basically you would be creating a "sub mix" with this track mixer and the result of that sub mix would be recorded into your audient.
@@GUILLE-nu8rv Perfect Thank you =)
@@GUILLE-nu8rv Because one time an audio engineer told me if I had to go through a mixing table, I would have automatically have to use the mixing table preamp
Does upgrading the RAM make the sampler not skip? Cuz I got one but the sampler is useless to me because it skips.

Hey, thanks for sharing. I replaced the key springs on several keys on my Yamaha So8. It was kind of a breeze. But the key bed did have to come out to access key springs. As I am not replacing keys on my Korg M1, only key springs as a result of a sluggish key, is it necessary to remove key bed? It looks like the springs are accessible without removing bed. I saw that you mentioned something about not getting sound and that there was a simple fix, just not real sure what you were referring to. The key spring, hopefully. Thanks! Randy
Hi Randy. You might be able to replace the spring without taking out the whole key but I kind of doubt it. If I recall correctly taking the key bed out on the M1 is a lot easier than it is on the Triton extreme because there's less stuff to move. That being said from my experience those Springs really never go bad so your problem might be something else.
What about Amber Waves?
i think Ive got that:-)

Very cool mixer! I am a fan of Ross Systems! Terrific video!
ha thanks.... I still have it!
Hey, cool vid! I have a Triton Classic and the problem with it is that several keys from the two lower octaves don't react properly when they're hit harder. I use them mostly to record drums parts and there's where bass drum, hit hats and snares are located. Any idea why this happens? The rest of the keys work kinda fine for a keyboard that is almost 20 years old... Cheers!
Sorry for the delay I never got a notification that this comment has been posted what do you mean by don't react properly?
@@jacksonrauch9429 no problem. Some os the keys, specialle the ones in the first octave don't react when I play them a little bit harder, they keep sounding like if I were playing them softly. And this is a pain in the arse since those are the keys assigned to bass drum, hi hats and snares and I make EBM music. What do you think it might be the problem? I've messed a lot with adjusting keys' sensitivivity and I even opened it to clean the sensors in the keys...
@@horaciolopez2096 hmmm... I have not ever had that problem... if it's a couple of octaves it's probably a connector issue I would check to see if the connectors are all snug and clean
Nice Christafari song!!!
Hello, I have a question regarding this mixer. The Mon/FX send on the back is mono only. Hower you cab route the mon to the headphone jack. Can you tell if I get a real stereo signal when routing mon/fx to headphones? Or is it just a mono witch is played on L and R?
sorry as I recall the fx is going to be mono only... a real shortcoming!
@@jacksonrauch9429 thank you :) And merry christmas
I think I'll go with a Yamaha MG10xu it has a stereo monitor out. So I can do 2 mixes :)

Still have this album on cassette, though this song is a little different version than what's on the tape. Need to get it moved onto MP3!

Hello how did you connect the fx ( reverb) thank you
You take a TRS cable out of the send and into your effect device. Then take the output of the effect device and into the mixer.
