We actually like the "road" part just as much as the "trip" part...lol We like to enjoy different cuisine and attractions from different places and enjoy the stop. @MichaelLucaslucasMG Well, without trying to write a book...lol I bought my vehicle through a private sale (not thru a dealer) some years back. And at that time, I was just trying to test the "EV waters." But I would say #1 HV battery & LDU are usually your most expensive fix. So make sure you inquire/do your due diligence on those first. My previous owner had let me know that the LDU had been replaced a year prior (just note, things being replaced on an ev is not necessarily a bad thing), so it gave me an indication that it probably already had the "coolant" issue resolved. But the HV battery in my vehicle is the original. When new, this vehicle's rated range was 208 miles on a full charge according to Tesla, and as of now my current range is around 181-184 on a full charge, just depends on how the bms is feeling that day (tesla drivers IYKYK)...lol But I guess you can calculate the battery degradation from that, and just remember this is a 11-12 year old vehicle! But going into a purchase, i would definitely press the previous owner for as much info as you can because tesla won't give any info about previous work done on the car, upgrades, etc.

@_CPerk Great response! I should have said the CEO doesn't represent it solely. I get he's a representative for the company, but I just meant there are so many others that are involved in making a company run other than the ceo, that the car shouldn't represent him only. And definitely, everyone is an adult who can make their own decisions and choices, but my question was just; would that be a wise choice, getting rid of a car you already own for that reason? I also added why I don't think Elon (and his antics) should be the solo representation of tesla and the vehicle. I NEVER asked anyone to support Tesla or Elon. @dj0082008 it's crazy because I was first introduced to BYD while I was traveling in Aruba. I first thought it was "BYRD" because I saw it at a glance and i asked our taxi drive what it was. He responded, that one of those electric cars, and when I finally got to my lodging, I started trying to research the "BYRD EV!"🤣 But unfortunately, I think it will be a while before we see a BYD vehicle in the States because of the company's origins in China. It's Eberhard and Tarp's brand, Musk started off just as a MAJOR initial investor that ended up being I think like the 3rd or 4th ceo of the company...he wasn't even considered a founder until a lawsuit happened...lol But thanks for watching!
