The mission of The California Wellness Foundation is to improve the health of the people of California by making grants for health promotion, wellness education and disease prevention.
Cal Wellness and partners host a health equity reception in Sacramento, CA.
On Dec. 2, we were honored to co-host a reception in Sacramento with our partners at The California Endowment, Blue Shield of California Foundation, and The SCAN Foundation. The event brought together nonprofit leaders, legislators, and public officials to discuss key issues, build connections, and strengthen collaboration for the health and wellness of all Californians.
We’re especially grateful to Assemblymembers Mia Bonta, Dr. Joaquin Arambula, Marc Gonzalez, and LA City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson for their commitment to advancing health policy and racial justice.
This gathering is a testament to what’s possible when we come together to drive meaningful change. We’re excited for the work ahead and the opportunity to deepen partnerships with community and governmental leaders. Together, we can build a healthier, more equitable future.

Hope, Trust, Courage - meaningful values! Thanks.
I am delighted that Cal Wellness chose a highly qualified gay mixed man as its new leader. Richard Tate seems as though he will put anything controversial about him (why should he have to?) right out in front for folks to work through; I think this was a brilliant choice for Cal Wellness and look forward to learning more about him.
So poised, confident, intelligent. Big challenges call for big spirits and open minds. California is lucky to have you as a community and wellness advocate. Following!

Who would want to listen to someone that is nothing but a hypocrite and constantly lies about their own life. He doesn't care about anyone but himself and it's sad but he's just miserable.
Once upon a time the once evil, now just old and ugly, Sarah Brady declared war on the Constitution's Second Amendment. In the Gun Grabbers' back room they gathered with their Hollywood Libtards, Socialist peons, and Treasonous politicians plotting like two democraps on Attack Watch with little boners. But Sarah had other plans. It wasn't the 'Rule the World' politicians plan or the Socialist peons 'Do What You Are Told'. plan, or even the democraps 'Cross Your Legs And Hide Your Shame' plan. For Sarah it was 'A Sucker is Born Every Minute' plan. Absent of any morals or truth, with words as Saturday Night Special, Semi Automatic Assault Rifle, Cop Killing Gun, Cop Killing Bullets, and Plastic Gun she prayed on fear. With each scare word came a Tales From The Crepe fiction that can and should be classified as out right lies. No matter the weapon they were zeroing in on it was always the favorite weapon of criminals and latter the favorite of terrorist too. It went something like this: The only thing that will save you from that 158 grain semi, jacketed, hollow core, ceramic, cop killing bullet coming out the end of a plastic, Saturday Night, magnum, assault rifle hitting you smack dab in the center of your forehead is Sarah and Side Show Jim. But there is a price to pay for her kind of protection so DONATE. Wheeling Side Show around with her machine-gun toting bodyguards to sling her lies at $5,000.00 a show. Jim's record for being a victim will never be broken along with his words of wisdom "You don't need a gun the police will protect you". DONATE and get our free news letter that is par with the rest of the media. What a great nation that allows a none profit organization to pay it's founder $900,000.00 a year. If this organization of lies revolved around anything but the disarming of this nation do you know where these two would be? Well really only one cause Side Show is already where he belongs. But Sarah would be slipin and a slidin in the back hole of a federal prison. They wrote the book on cooking books too. How do you say 'The gun death rate among children is skyrocketing" and keep a straight face? 1. Take the age someone is considered an adult, 18 and make it 26. 2. Now you can take 95% of all drug and gang shootings adding them to the rest of the bull shit 3. a cup of contempt 4. a pinch of salt, taken with your GMO foods and mouth full of sodium florid, Almost there, 5. topped with use a cheese grader across your head till you reach gray matter and it becomes easy to understand. So donate and if you all ready donated, donate again because Sarah will protect you and the more you donate the better she protects Donate, save yourself and keep Sarah in the life style she is accustom .
Congratulations to Debra Nakatomi on this appointment. Debra is an exceptional professional and advocate for inclusion and diversity and is someone with great integrity. The California Wellness Foundation is to be commended. Thank you for making this choice.
Thank you for posting this on UA-cam!!
Club Fed USA - He got more then a quarter million dollars worth of formal education with free room and board for a fraction of what most people would pay for decades. His mere existence has cost tax payers millions - And now he's a Tony Robbins act a like pitch man complete with vids seminars and what ever $$ making endeavors he can come up with. A prime example of why federal prison populations go up and never down. Splashed with gravy for decades while women and men in Korean prisons for example - were subdued to forced labor with no pay - no free ride like he got - and of course the USA has nearly 4 times the crime as many countries including Korea. He sucked every last fiber he could get out of the system and he's not thru yet. Future generations can look into drug dealing as a free ride to a Masters Degree and a beautiful wife - What a great country we got thanks to guys like Santos hug ! LOL
Your are such a hater!
Michael, keep the message moving of positive change in our prison society! You are the exception. Most inmates give up all hope, as that is how the system is designed, "punishment and pushed down" not "remorse and removed" from their past to a better future.
This was so moving for me! I would LOVE the opportunity to talk with this man! I am a single mother, going to college and was released from doing 3 years in prison in 2010. Everything I have set my sights on to study have shown me huge barriers because of my record. Society does judge and I want to be part of the reason this changes! I more often than not feel defeated but I refuse to give up! This speech is one reason why I will continue to move forward!
Absolutely empowering! "Let him that would move the world first move himself." ~Socrates
I'm immensely grateful to Julio Marcial and The California Wellness Foundation #CalWellness for the investment they make in bringing opportunities to people who live on the margins. I could've used their leadership in my life when I was a young man, misdirected in so many ways.
