Back golfing after a 20 year break. Rubbish dump find set of irons, Biggest big bertha (2004) driver from same with a pro force gold 65 shaft. Swing not great, 285yds best drive on an uphill elevation hole this week with the BBB - A1 position on fairway. I won't be "upgrading" to a new driver anytime soon. Those things still smoke! Great video too

Honestly thought they would be closer numbers than even that. Marketing and hype are a helluva drug for club manufacturers and they can't seem to kick the habit!

I did the same thing with my M1, bought a heavier weight and put the 2 heaviest weights in the back. It does help!
Why not just get a zx7 driver. It has 2 weights on bottom

@@ivantheterriblegolfer no problem...zx7 has a 8gr in toe and 4 gr in heel..u can swap them , also you can get other weights going as high as 12gr ..4 6 8 10 12 gr weights and use any combo you want in heel and toe

@@KingzBlaze I use a Bushnell Launch Pro Sigpro soft hitting mat Gaming laptop and just 1080p projector Impact screen from gungho golf Frame is just electrical conduit and tarp clips

@@KingzBlaze I’m pretty good about hitting the screen! Sometimes a guest will shank one and you have to be on your toes for the ricochet! 😂 I like not having the enclosure so I can still use my shop space when I need to. The video is a little outdated, I plan to make a few more upgrades and post a new one next year. Thanks for watching!
Gamed the ping 10k most of this year. Really a great driver. However , switched to the triple diamond max. Which i never liked Callaway drivers until this specific model
@@suprand Ping, Callaway and Cobra drivers feel good to me. I’ve always struggled with Taylormade or Titleist drivers 🤷♂️
@@ivantheterriblegolfer agree. I struggle to keep spin down but the low spin heads can be too punishing when I’m not swinging it too well. That’s why I loved the ping 10k, Lower spin than the max head but more forgiving than the lst. My lower back started to bother me late in season. I tested the triple diamond max and I felt like I could get through the ball much easier. Granted I paired it w the Ventus blue velocore plus. But still, maybe the head weight difference helped. The Callaway produced prob similar results on well struck balls compared to the 10k. However , for me the Callaway was more forgiving, felt more effortless, reduced the low left liner mishits and gave me better launch, average distance and dispersion.

Started hitting my old TM RAC os irons left of target …..was considering Qi for a replacement to my about 20 yr old clubs , but left of flag instead of right with a hard slice has wondering if i should skip game improvement category and go with a distance player like p790 .__
Looked like you were “muscling” the ping a lot more than the 790….maybe ..plus the longer shaft seems like itd speed up the club head speed some …and you just showed the more speed average with the ping,so im not totally crazy 😬👍🏼✌️
Yeah seeing as you struggle more the longer the club gets like i do …im sticking with the Qi’s (standard not HL )..nice lil comparison though for us hackers ,and was a good service you did for me ..talked me out of spending g the extra $ on clubs that wont make my game any better .
@@vicpnut1 I think mostly that was the lighter graphite shaft that caused the extra clubhead speed. I think today’s players irons are forgiving and easy to hit vs your old TMs Good luck and thanks for watching!
I have a complete set (1-LW) of first run Beryllium copper Eye2's that I bought new in 1983,,,, and play them regularly... they are the GOAT of the golf irons....

I still have my old Mcgregor RPM which are Maganese Bronze not only do they look at least as good as the Birrilium Copper Pings they perform fantastic I rate them at least as equal to my Ping Eye 2 non Berrilium for performance just not for looks and my similiar Ping non Berillium Ping Zing and Ping ISI. Unless you are an extremely low handicap golfer why not buy used Pings and similiar they are way less and perform just as well. Also love my 1 and 2 irons they are abgreat option instead of woods or hybrids.

I don’t go by handicap for what Irons you can play. I’m 18 but the reason is I’m 68 and can only drive the ball about 165 so I can’t get on in 2 on most holes over 350 yards That has nothing to do with what type of Irons I play GI Irons with fat soles have never worked for me Fat Fat Fat so I have player’s Irons and hit them straighter and clean

Copper/bronze polish will bring a totally different level of shine and actually… polish the surface. Which just soaking in any liquid whatsoever can’t do. Depends on what you want to obtain, glossy mirror polish or just a cleaner matte semi dark look.

Thanks for the comparison! My old Ping G drive just died and I found a super cheap Launch Pad 2 driver local to me. I was worried I was losing out on a ton of performance, but honestly, a few yards like this is ok with me with the cost savings.
Yeah I bet the LP even gets a few more than the G Prob more forgiving too 🤷♂️
