I really enjoyed that documentary! I was a member at Greater Grace on Schaefer and Seven Mile for 13 years. We would dance all over the place! Every Sunday somebody was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost! We literally ran to Church, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday morning and night!! Not so much because of our beloved bishop, but the presence of the Lord was in that place! Many nights they had to turn the lights out on us, because we couldn't stop dancing and praising God! 😏 What joy! What joy!

Met the man in Allentown PA in 1992. Lifted once in his presence at Powerhouse in Emmaus (ironically). I saw nothing but a gentleman. Now I see why. He had a heart for Christ. I knew Pastor Gary Green when I attended Greater Grace Temple under Bishop David Ellis. I knew him as an officer before I retired as a Sergeant at Wayne County Sheriffs department. Evangelist Green (now Pastor) sat with my mother as key ministers with Bishop Harper. Both are examples of God's instruments, always bounding in love. Thank you for posting this. My family was a member when Elder /Bishop Forbes was the pastor. My parents and 6 siblings (later 9 siblings) were there every time the doors opened and we were all one big happy family. When Bishop Forbes went back to the Island(??) and Elder Ellis (later Bishop Ellis) took over, he was a very young VERY handsome young man and I don't believe there was even one person that didn't absolutely LOVE him. Those were the days when the pastor would visit the members homes if anyone was sick. I remember Shirly who was the singer who brought everyone out of their seats, and Bernard Haddon (as he was called back then) who was the choir leader and danced around that pulpit with every note. I was the youngest of the 6 older siblings, so I didn't really have any communication with anybody, but my older siblings were friends with everybody. I left home at 18 and went into the army while they were still on Puritan ... ... WHAT A SMALL WORLD, my sister tells me that Deitrick Haddon now lives out here in California where I have lived for 51 years. I am trying to sell my properties (hard for me to let go) so I can move back home to live out my last years so my son can get to know his family in Detroit, but hope to visit HILL CITY CHURCH where my sister tells me Bishop Haddon's son is pastor. WOW, this video brings back memories and really make me feel REALLY old, but I keep hearing from friends that I am still young... Hope this pandemic goes away so I get to meet Detrick and tell him that I knew his father when he was a skinny young dynamic man just getting started and all the girls chasing after him.
