    Love this video! Pretty short and simple to follow along with, my service manager recommended I look up a video to make sure I know what process to follow for a water pump I have do tomorrow but I dreaded some videos because they were 30 minutes+ long. Also really appreciated including the diagrams for torque pattern and torque specs!!!!

    This vid was good -would wonder if you could help on an LT42 with the Kohler motor. It runs fine, but when mowing, sometimes it'll sputter and run ROUGH. I'll disengage the blades and it sputters and is boggy for a moment or two, but if you drive it around, particularly if you find a bouncy spot like across a driveway or something, it'll suddenly go back to running fine, almost as if you're knocking something free. You'll engage, it'll mow for a while without incident, and then it bogs/sputters again. This was on a thick lawn, it was a bit overgrown so I went over and helped my dad with my LT1. Was only taking about 12-15" stripes at a time. It is cranky to start, is about 5 yrs old but still feels like it'll go full throttle (but I know I need to check the throttle cable to be sure it's adjusted right). It DOES need a new deck/blade belt this year - it appears that it's more stretched and loose than when new, and it's on order now. :)

      @@heatherstiletto769 Thank you for the positive comment on my video. Bogging issues usually indicate a carburetor issue. It could still be an issue with a coil. Coils can intermittently stop working causing the issue you're describing.

    You didnt show you reconnecting the throttle cable. At exactly 4:00 you'll see the opposite end of where the throttle cable conx to. You'll notice the new carb points to about 10 oclock and your old one points to 9 oclock. My new one was the same and for that reason the choke thing with the red plastic knob wont stay in the cold start position and when I connect the throttle cable, because there isnt enough slack pulls that thing to the 11 oclock position making it more impossible for the choke to work. I have no idea why the throttle cable doesnt have enough slack as I didnt adjust any of that. Actually I dont understand how your choke works with that thing in the 10 or 11 oclock position, again freeze frame at 4:00 mins to see what I'm talking about. Sorry I dont know the correct part terms so I hope this makes sense and if youre kind enough to reply, I hope I figured it out by then.

    • @312ark
      @312ark Місяць тому

      I see what you're talking about. It may be the way I'm holding the carburetor and I'm causing the throttle to be open. I don't have any trouble starting it. I use this powerhead the power a pole saw.

      @@312ark Thanks for you reply, I did get it started but still for whatever reason my throttle cable is a gnats pube hair shorter now so I have to stretch so that the choke can engage and It idles to high because the throttle cable is pulled so tight? Actually anyone who has read the owner's manual knows about switching from summer to winter operation and vice versa. But if all you do is flip the black divider piece from summer (sun) to winter (snowflake) you have accomplished very little. You also must unblock the opening to the right of the spark plug by rotating the black cover from the right side to the left side of the plug. With the opening unblocked, warm air can now be drawn from the cylinder area to the air cleaner for better winter operation. In the summer the opening is once again blocked keeping hot air from the carb area.

    Had Z36 installed on my Escalade yesterday and im wondering if I was suppose to feel a noticeable difference with the firmness of the pedal immediately after install or does it get noticeably stronger over a day or two . Right now I think my factories had a better bite less effort on the foot to pedal pressure to come to a hard stop. I guess with all the hype I was expecting to tap the pedal and almost get thrown through the windshield . I was told they will bite more over time any advice would be helpfu

      I noticed a difference almost immediately. Where the pads and rotors broke-in as recommended? I did a brake fluid flush when I put on the Z36 brake package. Brake fluid flushes are super easy and you can buy a pressure kit pretty inexpensively from Amazon.

    The z36 pad is probably the best I’ve ever used. I drive a lifted truck on 37s and I am absolutely amazed on how quick it stops. Plus with the truck being a 1/2 ton and not having as much brake power as a 3/4 or 1 ton. They stop incredibly well. To anyone questioning this pad/set. Absolutely do go with them

    Great video. I see it’s a year old but good review. I used to use a air die grinder until I bought the exact same looking for only $35 on Amazon. Mine is made by Flywheel and is well Made aluminum and functions perfectly. I sharpened 10 blades so far and perfect finish. Most of my blades are 35 to 40 degrees. Easy to adjust degrees. Also bought the LDminda magnetic wall blade balancer for $45 and it’s a knockoff as well and both total saved me over $150-200 bucks just to get an overpriced name. Just shows you the markup and greed of some of these companies. They want you to pay 200 bucks for a name sake and it’s costs them 30 bucks to make.

      It's been a while since I done this job, but if I stated 30mm in the video then I'm pretty sure that it's 30mm. I hope this answers your question. Thanks for asking. Good luck.

    Why did you replace? were you getting a clunk? Im trying to figure out my clunk, everything seems tight though, wheel off and raised etc.. only thing i have not tried is raise slightly to have small pressure from wheel to ground and pry up to test lower ball joint. I think my issue is strut bushing or lower arm joint. Thanks

      It was a broken spring on the driver's side strut. The clunck you're hearing my be the intermediate shaft.

      I believe I used a swivel socket. If I remember correctly it was a bear to get to the bolts.

    Turns out its not necessary to remove the handle to get at linkage--just squeeze trigger to expose linage and pop it up-- Thanks for the video

    Thanks! Laying over the center console is what saved me. Stubby screwdriver and 10 minutes, all done. Thanks again.

    Mine broke at the gas station and I drove down to AutoZone and I was able to get one for $18. But I do have a Chrysler 200 with the 3.6 pentestar, so I have the radiator cap on my surge tank. That’s crazy because I didn’t even have the $18 at the time and the guy at the store, lowered it down to six dollars which I did have lol.
