This cruiser has a 1FZ-FE 4.5L inline 6 engine, twin parallel Flowmaster bullet cats with a y-pipe to mix them into a 2.5" pipe that goes to an 18" Mangaflow muffler and then 2.5 to the turn down at the bumper. Pleas don't mine the dust from the exhaust it was from the break in for the cats.

Thrift Store Find 12/16/12 (Cherry Keyboard)
The key part left out, the lense goes in narrower side down. It will seem to fit if you put it back upside down so be careful
Thanks for posting this, but to others out there don't use super glue, use contact cement. If the super glue runs it will ruin the lense (super glues melt the plastic as part of the bonding process). If you are extremely careful as he was it will be ok but rather not risk it. Others have said they use a tiny bit of loctite gel (not runny) and that works as well.
Amazing!
Within the last couple of days I fixed a Pioneer PD-M410 with exactly the same problem! I turned it over, as you did, and the lens fell right out. I even had the same cyano around the house to reattach the lens. Thanks for posting the video!
My exact CD Player won't eject the 6 CD deck. Doesn't make any noise at all, but the display illuminates and goes from one CD rack to the other. Help.
Great PC case! (cooler master haf xb evo high airflow lan box case)
Needing some help please ..... mine will start playing the selected cd tray but all it sounds like is a bunch of static. The lap counter runs so I assume it is reading the cd.......thoughts anyone ?
Thanks a lot, got the SAME issues with mine !
laser still in on mine but won't play some discs but will play others. I'm testing store bought discs only and this is confusing the heck outta me.
My disc is spinning but won't play and carriage is stuck and won't eject and disc won't go back in carriage to eject....any ideas?
Just fix my, thank you for that.
Exact same problem!! Watching!
we used to have these at my elementary school
Thank you so much for posting this. My PD-M502 had the same issue but was also making this high-pitched noise when I tried to play a CD and the player just hung up for a minute; the lens may have been loose and flopping around before it finally came off in the chassis. Not only did I save the unit from the trash, I also saved $75 which is the cost of a replacement optical unit (or $400 - $1000 for a new CD changer). I bought this system in 1992 (30 years ago!) and except for this one issue it has been soldiering on all these years.
Just wanted to say thank you so much for your post. My machine had exactly the same problem, now fixed and works great!
I just finished building in this case.
Nice to see this video but you made a mistake selling it. I bought a well used X21 about 15 years ago. The HDD made a noise that gave me no confidence in its remaining life but it was a joy to use. Today the disk still clicks like no other HDD I've ever had yet it plods on. The whole machine is a beauty. Win98se with 700MHz PIII & 256mb ram really flys and with a few tweaks, extras and third party prog's is a wonderful setup. Add that to a lovely physical machine and we'll I won't be replacing it with any bloated new OS. I love my T60 (XP) but since M$ ceased issuing security updates I'm off the net on my laptops and am just as likely to use this for work. You didn't mention sound, that small speaker isn't too bad but add the docking station and you'll gain two very decent speakers on the sides as well as floppy and DVD drives. Even with the docking station the bulk / weight is okay. The only thing M$ has to get people to constantly replace perfectly good programs, OSs and hardware with now is fear. Put Linux on an old box for browsing and do everything else on good kit. My main desktop uses a heavily tweaked XP. I do have a slate/laptop with NT8.1 which gets some light use mainly when I need to work away from home. [I admit NT8.1 works nicely for this slate/laptop combo' but as a general OS it stinks as does NT10]
Just bought the bottom case and motherboard to the x21 hopefully it works fine with my x22 top case and lcd.
It's 2021 now. We don't use halogen anymore. Electricity got too expensive. LED's are great, and cooler. I just got my Haf XB today . They are still the best.
I found one of these in a basement, along with the ten-key model M. This video helped me figure out how to operate it, thanks
@samer saleh is correct, DON'T use superglue! A quick setting epoxy glue (araldite) or similar is perfect for this. With regard to lens alignment, try to reposition where the old glue marks are. Sit the lens in and apply 3 tiny spots equidistant around the lens applied with a very small tool such as a cocktail stick will suffice. Let it set and you should be good to go. Don't get glue on the lens! @samer saleh pop it back off and clean it up with rubbing alcohol.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tu à les cd restauration ?
MUST READ, DO NOT USE SUPER GLUe (cyanoacrylate) this video shows the correct fix for most of these machines but the super glue will attack the lens and fog it up. Use a water based glue (even elmers would work here). You just need it to stick in there but super glue will mess it up...don’t make my mistake
Discovered the lens had fallen on my Pioneer PD M630. Going to try model cement to hold it. Thanks for the video!
Testors model cement seems to have done the trick. Let it sit for several hours. We’ll see how long it works! The lens fit was pretty obvious, it seems to be in a little housing that fits into a slot. I put a couple dabs of cement with a toothpick on the rim of the housing. Wore plastic gloves while working with it
It fixed my cd changer with the lens fix with nail glue, thank you
I just put a Strix 3070 in this case.
Someone needs to learn how to properly put thermal paste on. >.>
Any suppliers of replacement focus lenses? I cant find my missing part anywhere.
Same here. Did you happen to find any suppliers yet?
@@CapnCody1622 None yet but im sure they are out there somewhere, China maybe. Next step is to find a Pioneer at a thrift shop and scavenge the lens.
@@ridgerunner4943 I messaged a couple suppliers on Alibaba. Then I was putting the case back on the player and the lens popped out from who knows where! I got lucky this time lol If those suppliers message me back, though, I’ll let you know if they’re a good source.
@@CapnCody1622 thanks and good karma that you found your lens!
@@ridgerunner4943 Update on the Alibaba suppliers: They all want drawings and dimensions so not as easy to get as I thought it’d be. I was hoping someone would have them already made and in stock. If someone was able to get the exact dimensions of a lens it would probably be a good option for someone.
Watching after 7 years
Thank you. In my case, it was a dirty lens cover.
Just got this CD player and it didn’t work. Checked out you video and remembered that 25 years ago I had a single disc version of this player where the lens popped off in transport to college. Like you I glued it back in and it worked ever since. So it took this one apart and found no lens rolling around. So I read the instructions on the cartridge and saw that you must put the discs in “upside down”. Works just fine! Thanks and no thanks! Lol!
For the people who are having a problem with how to place the CD into the changer, it tells you with pictures to set the disc with the label side face downward. Also, I am having the exact problem with my CD player, but I'm hesitant to open the CD player even though you guys make it look super simple. Hope I can find the lens.
I had the same thing, lens rattling around. Put it back in and still dead. Possible dirty lens fron my fat fingers? Does the spinning only kick on when the lens confirms there is a disc there?
I just electrically restored the same exact model radio! Documented it In a video over on my channel if you want to check out how I redid the caps. My grandfather bought the one I have new, it is now a daily listen unit on my desk at work, I play stuff through it with a part 15 AM transmitter. Neat stuff! -Tim
I found mine after years of looking and went to start it up. It works but I cannot get the screen to show anything it's just silver. Any ideas on what I can ?
Thank you for this tip. I had the same problem and is fixed now.
Can anyone help?! I have a Pioneer 6 disc changer, a little older than this model but I expect the mechanism works the same. Basically, the mechanism which guides the CD to the lens is leaving little grease spots on the CD, causing them to skip, dependent on where the spot is left. Are there little rubber/felt guiders that come into contact with the CD? It's been doing it for years and now my mate has got one and it does the same thing. I think it is stray grease (that white stuff) which has leaked or melted on the rubber stops which is then imprinting on the cd's even before they get to the lens because sometimes they skip after I put a fresh, clean CD in. I have to clean the marks of each CD everytime they're played or they will skip on other equipment. My mate seems to think it's from the CDs themselves. I disagree with him. HELP!
how did you go about finding all the parts for the exhaust system? I don't know much about exhausts and I want to do the same as your land cruiser, I have the same make and model.
I had a local exhaust shop make all the piping. I just gave them the 18" magnaflow muffler and two Flowmaster 2" high flow catalytic converters. They made it all fit.
LGR called one of these PCs a "motherfucker". He should've not done that.
Will you be my friend? I am from California pls response
Will you please be my friend? I have Asperger's
Weird, I followed all of the steps and was successful until the very last part. I renamed the file "isaac.swf" but the warning for changing the file extension never popped up and nor was the file changed to a swf.
Nvm, figured out how to change the file type. Can't believe a 7 year tutorial still works.
Lovely! <3. This was actually my first computer back in 1992 or something. It was already outdated then but I felt it was amazing and let me learn DOS commands. I want one just to collect it and refresh so many good memories :)
Great job, thank you soo much!!
Canada here...it's the fact you just did it...all the difference...one love
This was my first computer that was all mine... it was outdated when bought it! I had a hard drive in mine though.
That must of been the coolest thing to own.
@@donaldpump3072 as a kid yes
@lightsoutentertainmentdj I didn't own a computer until 2007. Me owning one of those would of blown my mind.
I think I had this back in 1996. I believe it had either 10, 20, or possinly a massive 40mb hard drive and it had a 1.44mb floppy drive. Looking back I wish I didn't trash all my computers as I got older. But I was embarrassed for having such obsolete computers
My Pioneer 6-disc CD player had the exact same problem , but the the lens is in place and laser emission can I see with my camera. Can you help me, please. Thanks Regards
