Am I the only one who thinks Devilman Crybaby and Bananafish is very similar? Not the genre and plot but how it made you feel and also the fact that it's two male leads who are always together (one of the two being blonde too). These two shows made me not cry as much as other animes I have watched before (I still cried watching both) but they both made me feel (uniquely) very depressed and utterly speechless by the end with an unbearable chest pain.

I wanted to say so much thing about Banana Fish and Ash and Eiji, but I can't. Just, the most idiot library worker in history is in this show.

He was so use to just having gang violence/mafia and he finally found something/someone he adored and loved and admired a lot but then he realized he would only drag eiji even more into his mess so when he got stabbed he accepted death for eiji.
