Sorry for the late response, this is a common question over on the main Firestorm discord server (a temporary link is here: discord.gg/GzqyR5zs, although you do have to be 13+ years old to use Discord I believe), and there is automated answer a bot over there gives to Discord users when that question is asked. I have copied and pasted the main part of it here below: "AIRCRAFT IN FIRESTORM Aircraft are FREE in Private Servers only. In order to gain access to aircraft in public servers, you must complete an application and training course. Flying in FIRESTORM is difficult and you need to be able to dedicate time in order to learn it. This includes completing the training course. It is not "easy". BECOMING A CERTIFIED PILOT 1: Join the Shoshone Forest Service (SFS), known as the Roleplay Server of FIRESTORM. The SFS conducts serious deployments. Join: SHOSHONE FOREST SERVICE DISCORD Join: SHOSHONE FOREST SERVICE GROUP 2: Verify yourself in the SFS Discord so you have the Applicant rank, then complete the Forestry Aid Application, which takes a couple minutes and can be found here: SHOSHONE FOREST SERVICE APP CENTER 3: Once you have passed your Forestry Aid Application, wait for Pilot Applications to be announced. They release monthly and stay open for a week. It's a separate (and free) program called 'Epic Pen' (Not related or part of Roblox), I've been testing it out for a few months now for my youtube videos, the free features work pretty good for me -- some more nice features/convenient stuff is locked behind paying money. I can draw on the screen when I have the program running (Roblox doesn't have to be running, it's like being able to paint/draw on your physical monitor no matter what program/game you have running, or even just on your desktop!)

lol yep, I wasn't sure at first how bad it would get, but I then turned at some point and saw how close it was getting, and made a rough guess that I might not make it to cutting a line if I didn't call for you guys to help sooner than later heh -- luckily it turned out okay! (And you got some good screenshots too lol, win win!)

You flew the heli really well for Frost's team, and the other random players that joined us here and there lol. Was nice to work with ya -- thanks for flying us around as a pilot, and chatting in the vc with the others, was awesome. 👍

Everyone, above is 'Nick_GE90' (Can see his name when I pull up the main map a few times through the video), or also known as 'SpiritedAtrophy' in the chatbox if you read some of the conversations that happened. :) He was one of the 3 pilots in the 2nd half of the video helping do some great fire containment/drops, he even got a complement from one of the community's flight instructors for Pilots, Jerz, at 1:03:52! 😁 Was nice to see you on and in-game

It's called Firestorm (a Roblox experience/game made by FireX Industries). It's normal gameplay focuses on wildland/forest firefighting in a co-op multiplayer setting in Roblox. Private servers like this one some people goof around. (This was a private server run by UnabatedMonster called Operation Wood. Trying to chop down all the trees on the map for funsies)😁

It's kind of cool to see yourself in a gaming video/multiplayer server isn't it? =) It's one reason why I think I'll keep trying to record these kind of casual gaming sessions sometimes... I probably won't do any crazy video editing/memes/commentary like those top youtubers, but if it can bring people like you were in-game a nice feeling to see yourself on video (or even just in the same server), that is nice for me to know. :) Who were you in the video though? I looked at your youtube name and could not connect it to any players from the video gameplay. Let me know if you feel comfortable! Would be nice to know. 😊

😃 I was not flying the helicopter! That was another player named Light_Mode (he commented above you as Light_Mode227 🙂). Right now as of November 7th 2023 -- the process to fly helicopters like this one in public servers requires you following a bunch of steps on the Firestorm community Discord Server to eventually become a heli pilot and get permissions to fly helicopters on the public servers. The steps will include filling out applications (at least two I think, a Seasonal Firefighter application and later a Helicopter Pilot Application), and if your applications are approved, you will have to go through flying tests, and attend trainings with helicopter/flight instructors appointed by the Game Devs (Light_Mode is one of those flight instructors!). The most important first step and all information to apply can be found at: discord.com/invite/gpsdHXMjMs (The official community Discord server for this game).

I read about that recently on the Discord somewhere! At the time I wasn't sure what was for sure true or not, but it seems much more clear to me now after playing this match and hanging/reading things in the Discord now 😁

TLDR: I also wondered where that was from specifically. It looked like a bug when I first saw people post screenshots of it in the Firestorm Discord. You already provide great air support in transporting people to and from the fires, in it's own way that's equivalent to saving people =) (( Long version: you are helping airlift firefighters out of danger (sometimes), but more importantly helping the team coordinate and work together -- and that saves both firefighter (roblox) lives lol, and civilian lives. (if you think about it, a team that works together more closely dies less, as players are not isolated and heli support tends to drop people down usually in groups and encourages grouping up more often, and a fire that gets put out by an efficient team... well that's more trees saved, and if there were civilians in-game, less lives in danger, as the fire is more contained and put out! ))

One of my top fav moments in the last few days, just that 'boots on the ground' feeling that people internally seem to understand once you heli drop them in this game -- strangers or regular players, they get it. :)

😛 I remember you saying that in chat too hehe, I wasn't sure if it was a server reset/shutdown since it said just 'disconnected', but I am glad either way that it looked like things got fixed somehow -- win win! And we got some ground crew time in too. 😁

I keep getting anxiety about running out of water, after learning/reading somewhere on the Discord that vehicles currently have a limited water supply (but the number is not tracked or visible to players at the moment, so I have to blindly guess if I'll run out of water or not when using the other vehicles.). If they added a feature to see the water levels still in your vehicle, I might shift to using other vehicles (water tender so slow!). I just keep worrying about running out of water for myself (or if I happen to be the only nearby providing a water source for others to pull water from). The new update/revamp coming might change my playstyle for which vehicle I tend to use, but maybe not lol... I do like being a supply/support guy sometimes in games... hehe... if I can be a stable source of water for players when away from rivers/lakes, sorta makes me happy. :P

@@TersvogCvoosc the running out of water only applies to the water cannon truck lol. The others seem to have infinite water

This is my most favorite video so far to rewatch (so far :P)... seeing the teamwork when all the players started linking up in the same area and knowing you flying overhead seeing it all happen, felt like this is how Firestorm games in Roblox should be whenever possible, these kind of moments, but more often. Very much enjoying playing on the server when your around, and when you fly heli it elevates the experience to awesomeness since you assist with calling out important developments/sometimes take some lead guiding the team to areas (grids), and most of all... you help transport folks and really makes it feel a lot more like we're on a real wildland firefighting team being deployed into fires... by a wildland pilot who is on our side, got our backs...a true air force support asset for ground operations. :P
