i love this perspective! i come from a predominantly christian household, and christmas was always celebrated in my family. these past few years, however, i've been feeling increasingly disconnected with the holiday and the things surrounding it. this video served as a wonderful reminder that it's okay to do things differently. i think christmas can be really stressful for a lot of people, especially those of low income or people with mental health struggles. i love the idea of celebrating the solstice and acknowledging nature as opposed to a fictional figure like santa. while i still have to participate in christmas celebrations with my family, i think i'll put more of a personal emphasis on the solstice this year! anyway, i wish you and your family a very happy solstice! making your own traditions is such a beautiful and powerful thing- don't let anyone tell you otherwise. cheers! :)
