Utterly shameful. During the first few weeks of lockdown the beach and prom were the cleanest I’ve ever seen it. A lot of this mess isn’t from locals, it’s all the visitors that flooded in during the hot weather. Even worse, no public toilets were open, so under the piers were being used as open urinals, as well as behind buildings.

As a Fleetwood boy born and bred but now living in Reading it was great to watch this. All my family still live in Fleetwood so I always look forward to visiting my home town and family but for obvious reasons haven’t been able to get here recently. Soon as this is over I’ll be up. This is shocking , I'm hoping to go to Blackpool for holiday this August , the beach and water looked so clean , do you think it was local people ? They need fined .

Even if the bins were full people should be bagging their rubbish and taking it home. Unfortunately there seem to be a lot of people who aren't willing to take responsibility for themselves and think it's someone else's job.

Great video. Blackpool sea always looks ferocious. That was a really high tide, makes you wonder how those legs hold the piers up with such force on them. They are obviously much stronger than they look.
