Much nicer to have still shots of the models instead of the usual shaky, rapidly moving videos. We can actually see them much better like this 👍. One thing that would be nice would be to show the info card with each model. Sometimes I want to know exacty which kit it is so I can buy one.

Good video with great modelling skills displayed - a few points though: Right out of the gate at 0:24, we have an example of bad composition; one soldier standing at ease on the tank, one officer on the ground in an action pose, and having both in the same diorama is too jarring. The modeller could lose either and it would be a lot better. And at 0:30, we have my personal pet peeve: a vehicle with soldiers milling around it. I'll be honest, this composition is so common and so boring that for the most part I would rather see a smaller scenic base and just the vehicle and a crewman or two. Composition of a diorama is an art in itself, one that many unfortulately lack, no matter how skilled they are at building and painting the models. Pity really. At 0:57 we have an example of the overloaded diorama, with too many vehicles and figures lacking direction. I mean, you have one soldier on a donkey getting his picture taken in one corner (cool scene that would have been MUCH better off on its own), a soldier offering wine to him for some reason, behind them you have a pointless soldier with an equally pointless civilian, and you have a truck and a British tractor meeting - and behind them you have a café/wine warehouse I guess - and the placement of this is quite hidden. All of this would have been better off in their individual dioramas telling different stories. Again, composition. I know every damn modelling tip mention 'turn the turret of armored vehicles to make it more interesting', but damn that annoys me, because the turret is only turned if you are about to face a threat or if the barrel is so long you have to to get around tight spots, or, if it is to get access to hatches. The M8 for example at 1:55 has its turret turned because... reasons? Its clearly in an area with no potential threats (hence the open crew hatches and relaxed crew). And since this is most likely well behind a front line, the muzzle on the gun should be covered. A diorama is meant to tell a story, so for the love of god, then please tell a story! I understand what we see in 2:22, but - apart from it being overloaded, it makes no sense: An American tank runs into a German checkpoint with an armored car. Cool, great, we see the aftermath. But, the damage is one burned out tire, and from the looks of it, it happened ages ago - but there are some PoWs, facing the wrong way, and the tank crew looking way too relaxed... It would have made more sense to show the car either abandoned, destroyed or a lot more damaged and with the German crew immediately surrendering to a small group of American infantry accompanying the tank than this mess. Again: composition. 4:10 is an example of slightly better composition, but the gun is too undamaged; considering the state of the crew, the gun should show battle damage. Also, the crew should be placed all behind the gun since it was there they served it, letting the sole survivor work around them - and being closer to the gun - I mean, the ammunition boxes are right there, he doesn't need to wander around. Speaking of the casualties, the blood looks like ketchup and could have been done a lot better. 4:55 is an example of a better composed diorama, with a know-it-all officer showing off the Japanese tank to someone. This is what creates a good composition and direction: the first thing we see is the officer, him being to the left in the scene and on higher ground pointing in the direction he wants us to look, and then we see the tank on a lower level. Exemplary. 5:05 shows one vehicle behind another. As this is generally bad composition, it is forgiving since the halftrack is also a little off to the side. Still, not much a story being told but the direction is there, since most of the soldiers are actually looking in one direction, the same the modeller wants us to look at, ie the knocked out tank. 5:45 gives me a headache - I can't thick of any German uniform looking so garish as this light blue, and the composition of figures makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. 5:57, as good as the model itself is, it lacks a human element, ie a person. It doesn't even have to be someone interacting with the train thing. but just being there. 8:46 - good diorama: small, collected and with one direction towards the wounded man. I would have let the cart being upright however, showing that the soldiers berhaps shot him because he refused to stop - that wouldn't necessarily cause the cart to overturn. 9:18 - Too big, with a lot of empty space between the tank and the soldiers and the VW. That said, direction and composition is great, with the exception of the tank commander looking too relaxed in comparison with the soldiers. Tl:dr: better composition and direction would have been most welcome.
