I could make a guide but it wouldn't be very in-depth; once you install Multiverse for either the first time or from a previous release, it's just a matter of making sure things are compatible and importing them into Slipstream. Most of the time you don't have to give it much thought, but if you're installing many addons, it'll just take more time successfully get them all integrated. Not really more "difficult" if that makes sense.

Generally I wouldn't focus on specifically weapons, because realistically a singular laser beam or v5.4 debug laser is already a win condition on the hull killing side of things. What you're really going to want to look for is the easiest/most reliable system combinations, and what ships start with what. Besides end-game level fire strats and sabotage, boarding generally isn't going to be very helpful because many Sylvan enemies just have too much going on to handle with a three or four man boarding team. Plus base Multiverse doesn't have nearly as many crazy one-shot type crew that addons usually introduce, Forgotten Races for example. Gunship is overall more optimal for a Nexus/Chaos run, primarily because Gunship meta makes you generally take so little damage if any at all (missiles, hacking & cloaking cycling, Multiverse's scrap economy to get you whatever you want practically whenever you want it). People have done analyses on the Prime fight for quite some time now, and while the information isn't wrong by any means, I personally think it's way less complicated than people make it to be. You just have to know what you're getting into, and how to build for it. You're honestly better off probably studying the way Sectors 1 through 5 operate in terms of a run's significance. The bottom line is preference, but knowing what your preference actually is. If you want to never fail going into the nexus again, just use Cloaking, Hacking, and Drone Control. Get a couple anti-boarding capable crew just in case you get the like <1% chance that the CEL enforcers beam into your Shields or Cloaking with a crazy Temporal buff, and then yeah. Good luck on your future attempts.

There are additional addons in play here yes, however they are not quite "outside" the overhaul if that makes sense. The main two adding those pages of ships are The Renegade Collection and Forgotten Races, both mods being designed around and for Multiverse.

The quest is located in the Spectral Wastelands. Find and listen to the Spookchasers outside of the nebula, take on their offer to kill the ghost flagship, and then kill or force them into submission using a blue option. Once the bounty is completed you'll receive coordinates to the Tartarus, which is pretty much just a hyperspace reroute (the option to route while jumping between sector to sector).

@@tropical1675 fair, im a gunship player and boarding is my least favorite playstyle so that probably plays a big part in why i dont like them much. I know they are great but id rather have overclocked zolts

The additional 9 pages of content come from addons that are played in conjunction with Multiverse. If you're on 5.4.X of Multiverse, you are on the most up to date release of the base game as of now.

However, I do also use some quality of life addons that don't add ships but make the rest of the playing experience more interesting (or broken, depending on how you look at it): Reroute Frenzy Inferno-Core Multiverse.Judge.Boon.Selector Boons, Hats and Prep Options Playable Temporal System 1.4.1 Wither Tags Along Unlocking Locked Augments.

in vanilla medbay is definitely the better system but multiverse not only adds 1000 ways for your crew to die but it also gives you a guaranteed backup dna which negates the biggest downside of the clonebay. im still kinda bothered by how many events kill crew and ignore clonebay in MV but hey, what're you gonna do

It doesn't take much to go out of your way and medical airlock your crew on the clonebay ships though, so that's kind of a bad comparison. They are still undoubtedly very powerful however. Sort of like a shell scientist without needing to be vulnerable themselves.

There's an addon on the Multiverse Forums that allows you to obtain the system on most ships included for Forgotten Races and base Multiverse: "Playable Temporal System". Normally it isn't available on every ship, specifically the majority of base Multiverse ships, but in this case most Forgotten Races ships can get the system innately without the other mod I mentioned.

I do wanna say thank you for your FTL multiverse tier lists btw, your analysis on drones and crew especially helped me improve my gameplay ^^ At the momenty I'm trying to unlock at least 80% of the MV ships before I install any more mods (and I also have to beat Sylvan Prime and the one who ryhmes at some point, last time the things just overwhelmed me and I havent managed to get to it since then) Anyways, thanks for these videos!

Depends on what hotkey it is assigned to in your keybind settings, but by default I believe it is the "~" key.

Bring Jerry to the Obelisk Homeworlds and intervene the combat with Leah using Jerry's blue option, an MFK Leah will join your crew afterwards. Bring that Leah to the Paragon after defeating Vance and you will unlock this cruiser.
