Kinda cute that a Goblin (I think Klagga is one of the two guys who are grilling Brian, the Dwarf) is in love with the Drow Minthara. In my game, they are together. Killed them both. I'm maybe halfway through Act 2, level 9... Anyway, just wanted to hear your voice. I am a bit too tired to write anything that only remotely makes sense... lol... I woke up early again (and before 8-9 AM is game time), it is hot and steamy, and my cat is driving me crazy. His twin brother and sister are in Act 2 of this game... not really, but you can encounter cats with a similar cattitude. Guess I'll go to bed. Much love, light, peace, joy and health to you. <3

when your party is in a narrow space, it becomes difficult to select precisely where you want to move them. In this case you could use Control key + click.

If you wish for the info, The Unhinging scroll didn't unlock the the 60 Lock because it had a magnitude of 40 to 60 and with things like that it will rarely score a 60 with that range of magnitude. Try a Open spell with a Magnitude of 100 to 100 on touch or target. It will be expensive to create, but it will always work on any lock. In other words the scroll with said magnitude rolls a random number between the 40 and 60 with that setup, it will almost never hit 60. In any case have a nice day and maybe get lucky with spell or object enchanting with "Open" Spell Effect.

Ahhh the Third Age game hehe....it's kind of like I heard, Final Fantasy style turn based combat game...I barely remembered it existed. The other PS games I think are those 'Battlefront' imitations, they are supposedly fun as well. It feels like old times already hehe....the use of movie footage (by the way are you into the RTS genre? Because there are RTS Battle for Middle-earth I and II). One can say it was an age of movie tie ins hehe. The ancient spirits of fire, earth and water....hmm one thinks whether this isn't their hideen (due to licensing :)) hints at the Ainur. McKellen's intro narration....it's a nice touch they had that in the game. One of the things I always wanted to see in the movies (and I think they actually had a concept art for it, but did not realize it) was the final combat between Sauron, and Gil-galad and how Sauron burned him with touch of his hand...as we learn in book from Isildur's scroll: "The Ring misseth, maybe, the heat of Sauron's hand, which was black and yet burned like fire, and so Gil-galad was destroyed." Though understandably the prologue was already quite long with so much backstory and exposition to relay to the audience. In a way this game story feel like one of those fanfics at times cheesy though has awesome moments hehe. The game use of movie music though was a great choice rarely one can find soundtrack that could top the best tracks from the movie (and as Amazon tv show proves it's hard to replicate or find replacement soundtrack music...for me personally the music of the amazon tv show was meh at best, quite aside the fact how I hate how the tv show butchered the lore and story...but that's a whole other discussion). Elf-stones are interesting upgrades...these are probably inspired by the stone Glorfindel left on the road as a token in book: "[Strider] held out his hand, and showed a single pale-green jewel. 'I found it in the mud in the middle of the Bridge,' he said. 'It is a beryl, an elf-stone. Whether it was set there, or let fall by chance, I cannot say; but it brings hope to me. I will take it as a sign that we may pass the Bridge....'" The Fellowship of the Ring, LoTR Book 1, Ch 12, Flight to the Ford Or more like Elessar the Elfstone which seems to have some actual power: ""... For it is said that those who looked through this stone saw things that were withered or burned healed again or as they were in the grace of their youth, and that the hands of one who held it brought to all that they touched healing from hurt."" Though that one detail comes from other writings outside the licensing ;). Indeed this game has surprisingly in depth mechanics.

That dungeon is all over the place with difficulty spikes.

Wonderful to "see" you playing this again! I had long been waiting for the return to Seeing your activities in game... It was definitely worth the wait. Oh and I've noticed in this Version of the game most "buyers" only buy certain goods on certain days, in the game world. Like for example the fletcher in Moon only will buy Feathers at certain time periods in the game. I know not why, but maybe it simply simulates real life needs, like the need to restock when things run out. Well, that's all I know to say for now. Later and Have a Great Day!

to expand the lists of skill or to sell/buy just hold the red ribbon on the bottom hold and expand. enjoy never never sell a scroll that cost you 50 gold for 3 gold ;D

first quest, get money to not starve

I noticed some weirdness in the video near the point just after fighting the champion skeleton near where you looted the Constant Effect Special Ring, but it seemed to fix itself mostly later on and at the end after changing the FOV it was very smooth, however I think the stream may have cut off too soon as well, or simply gave the appearance of such..... Yer party is not that well designed TBH. But its not that bad either. Playing this party will be a hell of a challenge for you. But we'll see as the game goes on. For starters yr Gnome Kensi would of been better as an Elf, as high Dex would of added to her AC, But yr char's 13 Dex will not add anything to yr his AC meaning he will be vulnerable to hits. High Dex is what was needed here. Yer Orc Fighter is fine, But not great. I would of taken 5 points from Charisma and placed them on Dex and Con to max out HP and AC better. The Wizard Slayer tbh, i would of left out. If this was like Baldur's Gate, where there are many mages in that game, yes that char would of been useful, but in this game, tbh, there are not that many compared to BG and really not needed. Yr Ranger would been better. But saying that, yer Ranger also would of been better off maxing out high Str and Con, Yr Dex is okay but i would of reduced her Int to 12 and used those points into Str and Con to max those important stats, needed for a Ranger. Yr Thief i would of take 7 points from Int and Wis and put them into Str to max that area out to 18 and put the remainder into Con to boost that to 16. She is severely lacking in both Str and Con therefore making her have low HP and low damage output. Yr Cleric is also poorly made, For starters a Halfling cleric is just not the right way to go here. You should of used maybe a human and boost her Str to 18, Dex 15 or better, Con 16 max, not really needed for anything higher than that. And max out her Wis to 18. In these rules 2nd ed, only fighter classes (Fighters, Paladins, Rangers) really benefit from 17 or better Con because every level up, they get bonuses, other classes do not. There's nothing wrong with having 18 Con, but in my opinion, i would of stuck to a max of 16 instead. Also her Str is too low. I would of reduced her Int by 2, her Con by 2 and her Char by 3 and placed those points on Str. Reason is, Clerics do not have very good THACO at the beginning of the game, they don't really start to shine until about level 12, so because her Str is a very low 12 and with her poor THACO, means she will not be very effective in H2H combat if she's faced with that problem until much much later in the game. Yr Mage, i would never of made him a Enchanter. TBH, there are a huge number of undead in this game as well as other monsters where Charm will have no effect. A normal mage or Invoker would of been better allowing the likes of Magic Missile and later Fireball. Yr Enchanter will not be allowed to use either of these spells, (although, i am not sure if he can cast them directly from Scrolls though) and his class will not be of much use in this game. But saying all that, i have not tried an Enchanter at all, so tbh, i am a little unsure just how effective he will be later on. As for his stats, i would of reduced his Str to 10 and boosted his Dex to 15 allowing a minor boost to his AC. Icewind Dale does have a huge number of monsters and Undead but not as many humans as you would think. As for enemy Mages, they are some but not as many as the other game Baldur's gate. IWD is mainly a combat driven game, where spell casting is less severe than the sister game Baldur's gate. Good luck Dude.

Haha, that last altar spot took me forever to find too! It's tucked away in there for sure. That armor is damn near artefact quality at this point in the game, it's great. So glad you found it! Well, my binge is over I suppose. Looking forward to the eventual return! Consider using some of those respec potions now that you have some cool gear you want to use and a better grasp of the game's systems when you do ;) Actually...you might want to wait to use those until a certain reveal coming up for reasons that will become immediately apparent afterwards. You'll know it when you see it. Also, let me know if you want some spoiler-free, first-playthrough-friendly tips :). I wouldn't tell you about specific builds, items, item locations or anything like that, just gentle nudges about things that would be easily missable or misunderstand-able your first time through that you might regret.

And also as we talked earlier...you could also check out the Witcher games they are great too :).

Conquest of Eo is awesome!

Paradox Magic is *very* strong. His Paradox spell is great because it can heal undead summons. With the right gear, you can just spam that bad boy on a big brawl for great results. His starting gear is freakishly good too--I often keep him wearing the robe + scarf and using his staff (deals AoE damage!) right up until until end-game basically.

I like putting Thrill of the Duel on Rohen (he can literally reach 100% block chance with it), but it would work on any battlemage-y type, really. Your Tahar is a great choice. Hubert is precious and must be protected at all costs.

You made it to the creator's guild at last! It's wild that they made this whole bit oddly missable (?), though I'm honestly not sure if the game would force this party member at some point if you go too long ignoring his quest...I know you have to stop by the creator's guild as part of the main quest later, but dunno what would happen if you hadn't been there yet.

Huzzah, the firenettle! Congratulations xD Well done defeating that tormented miner and the wyvern! Not easy fights at all. That Draconid Axe is pretty great and borderline an artefact weapon in its own right. Also half the reason I respec Uram to strength lol.

Yeah, as you get further and further into the game, Circle Mage difficulty will expect you to have pretty optimized builds--there's a certain amount of mechanical knowledge you might need that's hard to acquire during your first playthrough in time for you to make build decisions (although, you can always respec). This is especially true for these kinds of "boss" battles, optional or otherwise. No shame in lowering difficulty. Hard might be the sweet spot for you.

Oh no! lol, yeah that berserker spirit appeared because you had the skull of Rol'Gar when interacting with that tent. He's a real surprise, especially being even tougher then the already very tough battle beforehand. On Circle Mage, taking advantage of as many boons and inflicted debuffs (including scrolls and throwables) as possible is essential for fights like that! I really feel like Zarach's Fang should have been a legendary with another effect or two. I mean, the Bone Gnawer's horn is one and that's what it is made of, so... I'm so glad you went back to Everlight lol

Regarding those training blueprints: It helps if you pick one of the three to be your "main" race. Probably shouldn't try to buy up all of them on your first playthrough, there'll be plenty of other things you'll want to spend gold on. That artefact gear is all pretty hype. I always feel so conflicted because there's so many cool pieces of Epic gear too...I wish the game was longer so I could play with all the toys lol

Well done. I'd say you did a good job shaking off all that rust, only way is up from here! Maybe it is because I come from playing lots of Starcraft 1 + 2, but I was able to grok the RTS sections pretty quickly. There's a number of simple things everyone can do to make your life a lot easier in pretty much any RTS, like developing a solid build order (this is probably the best, simplest, easiest thing you can do as an inexperienced RTS player), proper control grouping, and so forth. Spellforce 3 makes life a bit better for non-RTS folks because of the powerful heroes you get access to. There's a few setups that can solo entire armies on their own. Well, at least CPU armies anyway :P I dunno how interested you are in these kinds of details, but there's a couple exceptionally potent builds that your character will (potentially) have available to them soon. I don't want to ruin the first playthrough experience for you by just blabbing in the comments, so I'll keep my mouth shut for now and you let me know if you want to know more :)

Hah, weird binging my way through these and seeing an episode like this. Yes, good to be back, of course... I've found Frost Shell to have pretty limited usefulness outside of either being an "oh shit" button for a squishy wizard or, in the case of Isgrimm, combining it with his AoE taunt ability works great!
