I'm so happy I could make it to Atl for this, live. I got to take a picture with Nikole, 1 of the only 2 people I call a hero of mine. I hate I offered my sister to come to this cause she was literally THE only person (and a black woman 39yrs of age at that) not paying attention.. too busy looking at her phone and kept asking me questions like, "Who's Isabel Wilkerson?"😠 I'm a 37yr old black man. How YOU dont know!? and saying things like, "I thought it was gonna be a debate." 🤦🏾‍♂️ Some folks just refuse to read to be educated! Anyways, I actually got to meet a real 21st century revolutionary alive and well! 1619 as she's said before is nothing new but the bridging of historiography and common knowledge was indeed revolutionary! Most people I know don't read, and the ones that do don't read history. This woman got teachers and professors IN ALL fifty states to change curriculums to incorporate this work! Thankyou Nikole!

When calling I always get voicemail and I leave a voice (4 messages )message but no one has SoFar and I’m guessing will not contact me back. So this branch may be closer to my home but I will be driving three times the distance to get to another Locations …

My entire childhood was spent in the library. I grew up in a small town and our library was one of my favorite places to visit. Sadly, my hometown library no longer exists. Because of that, I'm so happy to see a thriving public library system here in Atlanta! I can't wait to visit!

I'm so glad the Central Library is open again! I hope to visit soon.
