the reason why women don't like it when men cry, is because the times men choose to "break down" is typically after they get caught cheating, after the woman gets frustrated from months or years of trying to adress the same issue repeatedly untill she's fed up and is walking out the door. when the crying comes after he's created a situation where he's going to lose something or someone as a consequence, then of course it's going to be looked down on or scoffed at. the woman he's crying to, has typically cried many nights, and he not only caused her tears, but then he left her to deal with it on her own. if he came to her before the betrayal, before the problem escalates to the point of her being emotionally disconnected and ready to leave, then it wouldn't be treated the way it is.
