Thanks for your comments. Indeed removed both turbocharger and found severely worn out one of turbine shaft. Now plan to remove both cylinder heads of engine left bank to analyze the root cause and to make failure analysis at all. Most probably, exhaust valve guttering and cylinder damaged 😊

Dear, it's 1500 KVA, 1200 KW, 400 Volts, 50 Hertz and 0.8 power factor. Total ampere capacity is 2165 on 💯% load. About 210 liters ⛽ consumption diesel on 80% load. 13,000 kg weight of generator set and 416 liters lube oil 🛢️ capacity.

Almost 200 liters per hour diesel ⛽ on 75% 900 KWe or 1500 amperes

Well it's nor a slight or cosmetic wear. It's a piston scuffing due to lack of lubrication or by clogged oil jet nozzle 😊🇵🇰😉🇺🇲

Hmmm technically possible and safe. On lower end we placed a solid metallic plate along gasket on water pump impeller housing same as shape of water line connection towards regulator housing. Then refill coolant as high as upper lever of jacket water temperature regulator housing until you can touch coolant level by insertion of finger 🤞 inside regulator housing. Always make sure you have installed temperature regulator in housing along vent valve and adequate seal 👄. By that way definitely you may control coolant level inside engine at adequate level and 248-5513 CAT regulators would not have to release coolant flow from cylinder block until jacket water temperature reached @ 82C at least in favorable time. In that favorable time we can analyze engine sound, emission and other critical parameters. We usually use infrared thermometer temperature gun in that scenario rather than rely on temperature switch 😉🇵🇰🇺🇲😊🔧🛠️💰

Well I had to diagnose oil cooling nozzle clogged due to poor lubricant resulting ash particles or sludge inside nozzle jet 😉🇵🇰🇺🇲😊💰🛠️

Thanks for watching. Yes most of mechanical unit injector engines in Caterpillar 3500 series are controlled on Woodward 2301 & 2301A electronic 24 VDC governor and Woodward electro hydraulic actuator. 😉🇺🇲🇵🇰
