The Spirit of Fairbridge - Behind The Scenes
Переглядів 52411 років тому
I found this today going through our archive. This is a 'behind the scenes' film that we put together a few years back to show some of our work colleagues what we sometimes have to go through to get our films made! This was Piers and Adam trying to film the boat (the 'Spirit of Fairbridge') from a motorised jib bouncing up and down on the majorly-choppySolent. And then to get interviews in some...
The Cheese Joke -- by Chloe
Переглядів 9812 років тому
This is one of Chloe's favourite jokes that she storyboarded for us at Christmas last year, and I've given up on being able to get a voiceover recorded, so I'm putting it out there without audio! Drawn by Chloe, photoshopped by me and animated using Apple's Motion.

This is a short film endorsing D&AD's new White Pencil Award. Script and voiceover from Ava (aged 5) and Tom Foulkes; drawings and animation by Isabel (aged 5) and Ben Richardson.
My Dog Has No Nose -- A Joke By Isabel
Переглядів 75613 років тому
This is Isabel's cartoon of her favourite joke, the "My dog's got no nose" classic! She drew out the storyboard, I scanned it in and cut out the characters in Photoshop, and then animated them using Motion, and put the audio on (recorded on the iPhone) using Final Cut Pro. Lovely.

Paxton Road Royal Wedding Street Party
Переглядів 68313 років тому
A big thankyou to the organisers and everyone who came along to the Royal Wedding Street Party on Paxton and Lower Paxton Road, St Albans. It was a brilliant event. I had a bit of fun with the timelapse and found a BBC News Royal Wedding Podcast to mashup for the commentary... Apologies to the BBC, its presenters and the people they interviewed!

Lunchtime with Duncan!
Переглядів 8114 років тому
The geek bit: my first timelapse with a new intervalometer for my camera. The Duncan bit: lunchtime today, eating an apple and beef organic pot! He's 8 and a half months old now...
Duncan's first solid meal!

Not the most auspicious of milestones, but a milestone nonetheless... Baby muesli: the world's most bland edible substance!
A trip to the Natural History Museum...

...set to the theme tune from One of our Dinosaurs is Missing! It's a quick edit, not finessed, and the camera work is not the best, but it's a nice little memento of the day. Given the paucity of quality footage to work from, this is also the best the film's likely to get! Ah well
Isabel on the dancefloor
Переглядів 8215 років тому
A bit ropy in quality (the Sony TG-3 is shocking in low-light) but Isabel's unselfconscious dancing more than makes up for it! Especially when n-n-n-n-19 comes on!

AT THE START I THINK THAT IS THE DEATH NOTE CUADERN
Can I share this with my virtual 3rd grade students?
Can I please request permission to use this video in an elementary engineering online lesson I am creating?
4:44 Tupac is dead and we're left with this shit!
it was Campbell!!! not Cammy lol
I was on the spirit in 2009 and remember the guy speaking, I'm sure his name is Cammy! I can't say for sure but it helped me a lot and now I have a job and graduating from college next year with my diploma in IT all because this gave me the confidence that I needed.
sick mert
ya, we r cool....
Possibly the least self indulgent solo I've seen! Nice and tastefully done.
Oh hello me!
Blast analysis isn't only for weapons. It's useful for demolishing old buildings as well.
what is the beat used in this video??

What I was going to say!!!
Tom, this is brilliant, your voice hasn't broken yet but it will in time. Fab video, well done mate.
Funkyier than a pigeon.com... thats right, i conformed.
Sorry, but I am not very proud of the blast analisys,...
Fucking robots are made by people who aren't engineers. :)
False, they are made by all sorts of people, *including engineers.* XD
awesome wish I had been there to enjoy
yeah!! where are the fucking robots?? =(
The riff part sounds like Ghostbusters :D
Good to see that this video remembered to include chemical, electrical, mechanical, aerospace, electronic, material, mining, biomedical, software, environmental, computer systems or space. What's that? Really? Civil engineering ISN'T 98% of all engineering work? Gee, I couldn't tell watching this video.
Great horn playing at the start but the rhythm section needs to slow down and groove - the bass player sounds like he's in a race he can't wait to finish?
Still discussing the old battle? Grow up, guys...
In all fairness, not all architects are trapped within their own little artistic world and completely oblivious to the engineering sides of things.
Clever setting this video to the One of our Dinosaurs is Missing music. Did you see any Chinese men behaving suspiciously?
whats with all this engineers vs architects talk? They are different jobs, both are important.
nem is olyan rossz... jol szoltok
Crackin! Love the Rap!
NICE........the dude with the sticks must have felt a little rubbish just knockin'em together.
Brilliant. Love it all jazzed up. Yay!
Great video clip and I've given it 5 stars. Please check out mine on the UA-cam Good Pub Guide.
haha wicked!!
