@@theoriginalnick5111 He doesnt have toy box unless he normal summons soldier. So Rod play is out. Souls should have been special summoned prior to Illusions effect to stack the deck and draw off of toy box.

Right now, I think the deck is fine as it is. I wanted it to be a budget-friendly option - not too expensive, but not too cheap either - a balanced deck that doesn’t require too many UR cards to be crafted. This is meant to be a DC Cup deck, and I plan to test it in ranked matches next. If I make any improvements, I’ll definitely upload a new video showcasing the updated deck and the duels.😉

I don’t know of a perfect replacement for Diabellstar, but if you want a card that lets you discard from your hand and special summon, you can use Apprentice Illusion Magician. However, it won’t let you set a Spell or Trap face-down - it will only allow you to add Dark Magician to your hand.🙂 However, I do recommend a Dragoon deck like this one: ua-cam.com/video/YmRubtNIP0k/v-deo.html

It’s not like I build a deck and immediately know it’s good - I have to play a lot of duels in ranked matches, events, etc. If the deck works and it’s possible to win with it, I choose the more interesting duels to make sure people don’t get bored, and I post those together with the decklist. I’m sorry, I would like to help you, but in this case, with classic duels, I don’t have a way to test that. In Master Duel, we only have modern duels. It would be amazing if they added a mode where we could play classic duels only.🙂

I Play a Similar build in Low Diamond. Of course you can win. Consistency is okay.

I went from gold V to plat V with a similar deck, it should be fine for you.

You can definitely reach Platinum with this deck. If you haven’t played Dark Magician before and don’t have much experience, I recommend watching videos where Dark Magician is used, then practicing in Solo Mode. Once you feel comfortable with the deck, you can move on to Ranked matches. With Dark Magician, avoiding mistakes during gameplay is crucial. Good luck!😉

Don’t worry, there’s no need to start with Ra right away. I recommend starting with Dark Magician. You can buy 3x Vortex of Magic structure decks, then purchase some packs specifically for Ash, Veiler, etc., win some duels, and after you gather gems and SR/UR points, you can buy packs for Ra. You can even craft the missing cards from the Ra pack that you don’t pull.🙂
