I'm from South Boston and was part of the Boys club younger than most. My neighbor we all knew as Spinner Gillespie was older would give me quarters to play this song....the he'd say play something you like. He unfortunately was accidentally killed in the blizzard of 78. Older he was a good man to he young kids like me. He loved Bowie.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Freddie demonstrated that he was more than able to give it his all and deliver probably the most engaging live performance in the history of rock music. And in that regard the name of the band Queen is entirely fitting because they are so majestic in the way in which they present themselves. Freddie Mercury loved his audience and they loved him in return. And for that reason alone, he will never really be forgotten. RIP Freddie Mercury.

Me and a group of friends in high school stayed up all day watching Live Aid concert back in 1985 and were blown away by Queens performance. I remember it like it was yesterday…can’t believe it was 38 years ago now . Just an amazing show they put on 😎😎😎

Probably the greatest live performer ever, but a meal is only as good as its ingredients, even if you have the best cook in the world to make it. What I am saying is the songwriting in Queen is lackluster. The hits are great, but the filter songs 🤮 Very few artists have zero filler tracks on their albums and unfortunately Queen isn't one of them!

I saw Queen 3 times in the 70s & I fell in love with Freddie the moment I laid eyes on him in 1975. Still in love to this day & forever.
