Не поняла...

Snow and ice look beautiful in this video, but in reality all winter it isn't so nice. I remember one year slipping and breaking my arm when I lived up north in the USA. Also the darkness in winter is depressing. Now I live in the south and love it.

I like remoteness and even leaving where I live outside Russia and I would not mind living in such a place as I am already over 60. I know they get plenty of dark cold snowy weather like in northern Alaska.....but they got whatever is needed to live alright, even if the prices are really high. Seems quite like any other smaller Russian city to me, despite the horrid winters there.

People say it's depressing but for me it's not so bad. Maybe it's because I'm from an Eastern European country 😅

I want to move to Norilsk. I want to live in building 17. What do I need to do to get there?

On a other channel a visitor to Vorkuta asked the same question ... "Why do people like it here" and the answer was the same, "the people are nice and help each other". Perhaps it's a case of 'hard times lead to strong men (and women)'? Both Vorkuta and Norilsk have seen terrible times - being part of the Gulag area.

Look at Norilsk from a satellite view with Google Earth especially the outlying areas. You won't think it's so beautiful then.

I want to say thank you for making this video! I live in Canada right now, but I've been looking for some videos of what it's really like to live in Norisk because there are so many negative videos about this city just being terrible and depressed. I was thinking, it can't be all terrible, so many people are there, so despite the pollution and harsh climate, there must be a warmth of community in Norilsk. Your apartment is wonderful, good job! I would love to visit Norilsk one day but i understand its difficult. To me, the idea of such a large city so far north and isolated, is amazing and wonderful to learn about.
